The charity aims to specifically raise money through fund raising events and through the support of its friends in order to provide a capital base. The dividend and interest income on the capital will be used to pay, or part pay, the school fees for Harry Birrell Scholars at St Harry Birrell Scholarship Trust Ltd - Company No. 03319229 - Charity No. 1061330 Annual Report & Accounts, 28 February 2022 1 Andrew’s College, Graeme’s College, the Diocesan School for Girls and Victoria Girls High School in Grahamstown in South Africa. Dividend and interest income can also be used to support other educational projects in Southern Africa as determined by the Trustees. Volunteers run the charity. The Trustees voluntarily run events and raise money for the charity. ## **Review of Progress and Achievement** In the twelve months to 28 February 2022 the Trust raised £46,199 through donations from individuals and friends of the Trust. We received £8,104 income from our investments, which also increased in value by £42,563. £3,915 was raised through special events. We spent £23,608 funding educational scholarships for 15 students in South Africa. We spent a further £3,653 in costs relating to events & administration. In total our reserves increased from £473,271 to £546,792, an increase of 16%.
