dated 9 January 1997.
The Trust was establlshed wlth fund5 from John Crawte Pearson who over the years has made
donatlons to the Charlty and has been the major source of the funds. The Trust does not actlvely
fundraise and seeks to follow charStable work deslred by the Donor,
At the annual meetlng the Trustees agree the broad strategy and areas of actlvlty. Day to day
admlnlstratlon Is delegated to John Crawte Pearson-the Chalrman,
The Trustees glve thelr tlme freely and no trustee remuneratlon was pald In the year.
The Trustees conslder there Is mlnlmal risk In the Trust actlvltles.
All Investments have been made through Charltles Ald Foundatlon.

provide by way of grant or other asslstance for any charitsble purpose whlch exist for the
advancement of educatlon, Includlng physlcal educatlon of young and old people and health care
and welfare of elderly people.
Grant5 have been mostly made to Trinity Foundatlon Ilrlsh Charity recognlsed by UK Revenue) for
Grattan Scholarships which are now in its 12 year and have been very worthwhlle and appreciated,

The Charlty does not work dlrettly wlth vulnerable 8roups but funds other organlsatlons that do and
the Trustees are satisfled that they are properly organlsed and Compliant with thelr Safeguard duties
or In a few cases the sums involved are $0 mlnlmal that further dillgence is not requlred.

I report oil the accounts of the Trust for the year end¢d 31 D¢eember 2022
The charity's tivstees are i'esponsible for the prepai'ation of the accounts, The charity's
ti'ustees considei. that an audit is not required for this y¢ai under seotioii 43(2) of the Chaiities
Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) or uiidei. Rcgulation l O (l )(d) of The Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulatioi)s 2006 (th¢ 2006 Accounts Regulations) aiid that an indepetident examination is
needed.
It 18 my responsibility to:
examine the arcounts under section 43 of the Charities 1993 Act and section M(1) (c)
of th¢ Chaiities and Truste¢ Inveslinenl (Scolland) Act 2005 (the 2005 Act);
to follow the pi'ocedures laid down In the general Directions given by the Cliarity
Coinmission under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act; and
to stal¢ wlieth¢r pai'ticular inalters have coine to iny attention.
My examiiiation was carried out in accordance with the general Dir¢ctions given by the
Charity Commissioii and t8 in accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regul¢ilions 2006. An ex¢iiIiiIiiilion inLlud¢s a review of the accounting records
k¢pt by the cliarity and a coinparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
iiicludes ¢oiisidei'ation of any unusual items oi. disclosui'es in the accounts, and seeking
