Mr N H R Bentllff (appointed 12121211 DrERMav Mr T M Roper lappointed 12121211 Mrs N Smith Miss Ella Bewsey is the Chief Executive Officer of the charity, to whom day to day management is delegated by the trustees. Structure, Governance and Management The Trust is an unincorporated association governed by its Trust Deed and administered by its Trustees. New trustees are appointed from time to time by the vote of the existing trustees. The Charity's Oblects and Activities The Charity's aims are to promote the advancement of the Christian religion or the material asslstance of the poor or the advancement of education in the country of Ukraine land other countries of the world as opportunities may arise). by conducting seminars with local pastors and assisting them with church-planting and mission work, and the provision of relief supplies. Achievements & Performance It has been another fruitful year in ministry in Ukraine, as reflected in the accounts. The problems associated with the various restrictions arising from the coronavirus pandemic did not prevent us from sending financial and material aid to Ukraine for the support of the various churches and individuals that we support in that country. As in previous years, the pastors in all churches have been able to support and care for the most needy in their communities as we provide some practical aid in the form of clothing, as well help with the peripheral costs of medical care such as accommodation and transportation. We view with grave concern the developments unfolding in connection with the apparent threat of invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We are uncertain at this stage how this may affect the future development of the work, but are keeping in close communication with our contacts in the country, and will do all that we can to alleviate the suffering that could ensue as a result of such an invasion. Flnanclal Revlew The Trust achieved a surplus in the year under review, of £18,38312020, defitit £21,673). The trustees consider that the overall financial state of affairs of the Trust is satisfactorv. The Trustees regularly review the reserves of the charity to ensure that sufficient liquid funds are available lor the Trust to meet its ongoing obligations. The policy is to hold sufficient rese￿e$ to enable the charity to meet its ongoing commitments and obligations. Page 6 **Ukraine Christian Ministries Trust** ## **Notes to the Accounts for the Year ended 31 March 2021** ## **1 Accounting Policies** The following accounting policies have been used consistently in dealing with items which are considered material in relation to the Charity's Financial Statements. ## (a) Accounting Convention The Financial Statements are prepared under the Historical Cost Convention. Because the Charity's income is under £250,000 the accounts are now prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis, to avoid the need to comply with the Charities SORP (FRS102). ## (b) Income. Donations & legacies represent cash received during the year. Investment income comprises interest received from money in deposit accounts. ## (c) Expenditure The cost of generating funds are costs incurred in promoting the Charity and its work.
