The Committee presents its Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31° December 2023.
Objectives, Organisation, and Activities
The Serbian Orthodox Church of Holy Trinity. Bradford was constituted by a Trust DeeAI dated the
21" December 1993 and is a registered Charity numbered 1061038.
The Charity operates from its offices at 98 Little Horton Lane, Bradford, BD5 OJG,
The objcdives of the Charity are..
a) To use Trust Property in accordance with the provisions of the constitution of thc Serbian
Church
b) To advance the education of the local congregation or other congrcgations of the Serbian
Orthodox Church in England pennan￿tlY rcsiding in and being citizens of the United
Kingdom.

Revlew of Financlal ActAvities and Affgirs
Full details of the financial transactions are contained in the attached accounts. The total r¢c¢ipts
for the year were £66,093 (2022: £53,993) and after dcducting paymcnts of £52,780 (2022:
£57,047), the net incom¢ was £13,313 (2022: net expenditure £3,054).
The total reserves of the Church are £90,282 (2022: £76,969).

onsibilities
The Church Committee acting as Charity Trustees arc responsible for preparing th¢ Trust¢es' Report
and the Financial Statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting
Standards (United Kingdom Genernlly Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable to Charities in Eng]and and Wales requires Charity Trustees to prepare Financial
Statements for each financial year which give a trust and fair view of the state of affairs of the
Charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the Charity for that pcriod. In
preparing these Financial Statements, the Charity Trustees are required to".
a) Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.
b) Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.
c) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
d) State whether applicable accounting standards have bccn followed, subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the Financial Statements.
e) Prepare the Financial Statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to assume
that the Charity will continue in operation.
The Trustees are rcsponsible for keeping accounting records that disclosc with reasonable accuracy
at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the Financial
Statements comply with the Charities Act 2011 and thc Trust Deed. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prcvcntion and
detection of fraud or other irrcgularities.

Trinity, Bradford for the year ended 31 December 2023.

As the charity trustees, you are resw)nsible for th¢ preparation of the accounts in accordance with
thc requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I rq)ort An respect of my examination of the Trust's acwunts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145(5)Ib) of the Act.
Independent exAmlner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confinn that no material mattcrs havc come to my attention in
cOnn￿tIon with the examination giving me causc to believe that in any material respect:
. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the
Act: or
2. thc accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this rq)ort in order to enable a proper understanding of the
