Achievements and Perfornmnce
Despite a very strong bld, Merseyside
Tuesday & Thursday Clubs ware not
grantad the King's Award during th18 year,
but were commended and recommended
to apply again for the next opportunity.

The accounts for the year show a healthy
overall surplus r8pr8senting a £7k swing
over last year. The financial security of the
charity remains a focus for the trustees and
efforts are underway to ral8e &Jdtlional
funds for the eventual replacement of the
aging minibu8 whlch is a key a8set for both
clubs.
Thursday Club continue8 to thrive and a8
reported la8t year ha5 seen a steady inftux
of both members and help8rs. Event8
throughout the year induded the annual
weeklong holiday at Skipton which was a
great success for both hel￿r8 and
memb8r8.
Two weekends away were hdd at
Llandudno and Southport which a180 went
very well and rnmain a comerstone of the
dub's annual calendar.

A walking dub ha8 been established during
the year which enables selected groups to

roles to ensure a strong future.

As the CC16a reports indicate, tumover
shchved a 20% decrease 0￿rthe previous
year refiectirvJ the Tuesday Club dropping
the long holiday in favour of the weekend
stays. Despite this, a surplus of over £5k
was recorded, refiectlng the ongoing
finanaal Stat￿lty of the charity.
Both Clubs remain in a strong and stsble
financial siiuation with signfficant reserves
available to consistently support planned
activities and expenditure and Se￿re the
future of the chari
The trustees established a policy to hold
total fund value induding both Clubs and
the Central fund at a level approximately
equlvalent to being able to run b)th Clubs
for a minimum period of 6 months in the
event that fund-raisi￿ f8i18d over that
riod.
