Objectives and Activities
The Fi'iends of Wiinbledon High School (or"FoWHS') is a charity governed by a written constitiition last updated on
22 September 2008.
The object of fioWHS is to advance the ediicatton of the pupils of Wiinbledon High School ("WHS" or "the School")
by pi'ovidin8 aiid assisting tn the provision of facilities for education at the Scliool. This is achieved chiefly by oi'ganising
events amongst the pupils and their parcnts and donating the net proceeds of thos¢ events foi, the pui'chase of itenis
which thc Trustees agree would benefIt the school. The Trustees have had regard to the guidance from the Charity
Commission on piiblic benefit and FOWHS has a social remit to encoui'age coopej'ation, coii)Iniinication and good
relations between the parents, staff and others associated with WHS and to strengthen tlie links between the School and
the local coininunity.
Slructure, Governance and Management
FOWHS is Inanaged by a Coinmillee whose members al'e elected or appointed on an annual basis al Ilie Anniial Genci'al
Meeling. Trustees coinpi'ise the officers (Cliair, Honoi'ary Seci'etaiy, Hoiioi'ary Treasurer, and ViLe Cliairs Juniot's (to
th¢ cxtent thcsc positions are filled) and lip to one Year Representative froin each year gt'oup.
Achievements and Performance
The social activities al'e lai'gely achieved through year group based events organised two to three tiines pei, teiin by year
i-epres¢ntatives, for exarnple coftec Inoi'Iiiiig8 and evening events. fiindraising constitutes tl)e biilk of oiir efforts and our
Inajoi. i'cgulai. events iiiclude Fairs at Christiiias and in the summer, sales of Second 14and School Unifoi'm, and a Ball.
Financlal Review
In the year to 31 July 2024, FOWHS raisL'd £50,791 (2023: £54,308). The largest conlribulions were from th¢ Christtnas
Fail., which raised £13,927 {2023= £9,758). th¢ Ball, which J'aised £15.386 (2023: £30,916). and Second Iland Uniform
sales, which i'aised £14,722 (2023: £9,671).
In the same pei'iod, FOWHS made cash donations of £8,112 for the new second hand unifoi.ln pod.
A fiirthei. £12,856 is still committed to SlTPPOrt th¢ School's Partnerships Programme in future periods.
The TrLlStces would like to thank eveiyone who has supported the activities of FoWE4S this year, through the donation
of their time, money or goods, and attendance at the events theinselves.

The Ti'ustees assess the risks of each event and are Covered by the scliool insurance policy, Each event is cai'efully
planned wil'hin Health and Safety regulations.
