The charity was established to provide grants to other bodies for Christian Outreach and Aid
purposes, although the governing deed allows the capital and income to be held for such
Charitable purposes as the trustees in their adsolute discretion decide.
Finances
The attached financial statements show the current state of the finances which the trustees
consider to be satisfactory. Cash balances brought forward at 6 April 2023 were £15,088
The income of Ihe trust in the year was £126,230 and a total of £120,664 was paid out in
grants and costs, leaving cash balances of £20,654 to carry forward.

REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER
TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE LONGFORD CHARITABLE TRUST
This report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 5 April 2024, is in respect of an examination which is
arried out in accordance with S.145 of the Charites Act 2011 (' the Act")
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF the TRUSTEES AND THE EXAMINER
As the trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements-. you consider that
the audit requirements of s.14412) of the Act do nol apply. It is my responsibility to issue this report on those
financial statements in accordance with the Act.
It is my responsibility to
examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 2011 Act
follow the procedures laid down in the General directions given by the Charity Commissioners
under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act, and
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS'S REPORT
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by Ihe Charity Commission
under sections 14515){b) of the Act. That examination includes a review of the accounling records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the accounts with those records. The procedures undertaken in the course of an
examination are quite different from those carried out during the course of an audit, and do not provide all the
evidence Ihat would be required in an audil. Consequently I do not express an audil opinion on the view given
by the accounts.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act; and
to prepare accounts which accord with these accounting records have not been met., or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts
to be reached.
