The governing instrument states that the trustees shall apply the income and may apply the capital for the provision within the Parish of Haslemere of religious education in accordance with the tenets of the Church of England by means of a Sunday School or otherwise.

The objects are achieved in a variety of ways involving the local Church of England School, the Youth Minister and grants for religious and ancillary materials and equipment used in Church and School.

The former First School, Chestnut Avenue, Haslemere provided the major part of the Fund’s income, parts having been let on long term leases.
During the year the Charity agreed to allow its principal tenant a period of four months at half-rent as the tenant was required substantially to curtail its activities due to Government Covid lockdown restrictions.
The Fund’s short-term assets are available and considered adequate to fulfil the obligations of the Charity without the necessity to realise longterm assets.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/ 03 / 2021 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
