Objectives and principal activities
New Generation Recreation Association is a registered charity, the objectives of which are to provide facilities for the purpose of leisure, education and social opportunities within the area of Keadby.
Records
The Trustees have presented a fair and accurate copy of financial statements for the year and there was an excess of income over expenditure. The Trustees confirm that the accounts have been independently verified and meet the requirements of the Charity Commission and are available to view on the Charity Commission Public register at www.charitycommission.gov.uk
The trustees have also kept an accurate record of all trustee meetings at which the business of the charity was conducted in accordance with current charitable law and regulations.
Main achievements of this year end 31st July 2023 period
The Charity has recruited a further 4 trustees and effected the freehold purchase of St Oswald’s Parochial Hall in Station Road, Keadby for the purpose of remodelling and renovation to provide a Village Hall for community use. This has been funded by successful grant application to North Lincolnshire County Council. The hall has been renamed as per the wishes of the community at a public consultation “Keadby Village Hall” and registered with the Post Office.
The ambition for the next year is to completely refurbish the ground floor and promote the use of the hall for community groups, private and corporate hires. Grant funding from various organisations will need to be secured as the works are extensive.
The charity also looks after the Millenium Field and occupies it by way of a deed of trust. The field has been brought back into good use by trustee David Lloyd and new children’s football teams are emerging. There is no charge for the use of the field by village children and the upkeep is managed by volunteers.
The site also houses a skate park which is maintained and insured by the Keadby with Althorpe Parish Council and is open and accessible to all without charge.
