The 8im of the Pr8-School is to enhance the development and education
of children under statutory school age by aiming to encourage parents to
understand and provKle the needs for their children through the
Gommunty groups. By offering appropriale play facilities and training
COu￿e$ together with the right of the parents to take responsibility for aTr
to become involved in th8 activities of such groups ensurfng thal such

Th8 Prfrschool PTovtrJes a safe environmant for children to leam and
play. It 15 open everyday during the week offedng a variety of sessions to
all children over the age of 2. The Pre-school not only provides a
valuable Introduction to structure and routine but allows the ¢hildren fre
fk)w play sessions. arts and Crafts and c£thng actlvltles as well as basic
ICT 6kill$.
Th8 Pre-school also offer6 a lUr￿h club for ¢hildren to stay and have their
lunch socially and also now off&rs four all day sessions to help the
children prepare for the lov￿@r school day.

Volunteers and Committee mwnbers are on haTrJ to assist the staff with
our key event5 throughout the year as well as helping oul wlth general
daily tasks.
The Committee consists of parenls volunteerfng In thelr free tlme to
assist the Pre-school management team in the ￿nnIng and
administration of the P￿School as well as organising fundraising ev•nts.
The Committee has a wide arKI varied skills set which is being put to
gc#)J use In all aspects of the Pre-school.

Achievements and performance
The first signrficant event of the Pr&School year 15 our Christmas n8twity,
whlch thè children begin rehearsing for quts earty on. Each child Is
provided with a Christma$ themed costume to wear on the day and th6
stage is decorated with the children's art w￿k as well a5 fantssti¢ arlist
contributrons from our staff. The staff work incredibty hard to prepare the
chlldr8n and 51 a￿ayS comes together teaUt￿ul1y. It is wonderful to Sea
Ihe ¢hildren, some of whom are only tyffj, I￿rf0MlO)g the c￿SSiC
Christmas sorvJs together and in front of a packed audience of parents,
grandparents, GareTr and other farnily memtsrn. The Committee serves
the minc8 pies, mu118d wine, leas and coffees glvlng staff thg opportunty
to socialise with parents and carers. Th8 Committee also organlsed a
raffle and we raised aFproximataFy £570.

We were lucky enough to b8 able to reopen for ￿ small bubble6 of
children In June 2020 but there were no more fvnding opwrtunslies for
the remainder of the financial year to 31 August 2020.
