Financial review
Financial position
The Charity has made losses over the past couple of years. However, we are taking action to rectify
this. We have raised entry costs and we have negotiated new deals on our utility suppliers and waste
removal service. We are also currently reviewing our slafflng levels in order to make a saving on
wages.
Going concern
We are currently relying on donations to cover some of our cos15. We regularly research irblo local
businesses who donate lo charities as well as searching the Charity Commission. We then make
contact with local businesses asking for their support. This has proved successful over the re￿nt
years and we see no reason why this would not te sutresshjl g¢)ing forward. We therefore consider
the charity to be a going concem.

Impaimient of fixed assets (continu8dJ
For Ihe purposes of impairment testing. when it is not possible to e5tirnate the recoverable
amount of an individual asset, an estsmale is made of the recoverable amount of the
cash￿enerating unit to which the asset belongs. The cash-generating unil is the smallest
Klenlifiable group of assets that includes the a55et and generates cash inflow5 that largely

the synerg*s of the combination. irrespeclive of whelher other assets or liabilities of the charity
are assigned to those units.
Financial instruments
A financial asset or a finanaal lia￿lIty is recogni*J only when the charity becomes a party to the
conlraclual provisions of the instrument

any related transaction costs.
Current assets and eurrent liabilities are subsequently measured at the cash or other
consideration expected to be paid or received and not discounted.
Debt in5trurnents are subsequently rneasured al amorbsed cost

Other financial instruments, including derivatNes, are initially recognised al fair value, unless
payment for an asset is deferred beyond normal business terms or financed at a rate of interest
that is not a mart<el rate. in wh￿h case the asset is measured al the present value of the future
payments discounted at a market rate of interest for a similar debt instrument.
Other financial instruments are subsequently measured at fair value, wilh any changes
recognised in the statement of financial acb"vilies. with the exception of hedging instruments in a
designaled hedging relationship.
Financial assets that are rneasured al c05t or amortised cost are reviewed for objective evidence
of impaimienl at the end of each reporting dale. If Ihere is objeclive evidence of impairmenl, an
impairrnenl loss 15 recognised under the appropriate heading in the statement of financial
activities in which the initial gain vrds recognised.
For all equity instnJments regardless of significance. and other financial assets that are
individually significant, these are assessed individually for impaim)enl. Other financial assets are
either assessed individually or grouped on the basis of similar credf( risk characteristics.
Any reversals of impairment are recognised immediately, to the extent that the reversal does not
result in a carying amount of the financial asset that exceeds what the carrying amount would
have been had the impairment not previously been re¢ognised.
