This meeting is needed as part of the Friends Chaiitable ststus but a requiremerkl sel on our Conslilulion. 11 is a great opportunty lo reflect on last yearfs events and bul to a190 to highlighl the challenges we face on this new 21-22 school year. We wanted lo start by saying a Thank You to Katie, Elaine and the all the previous committee mernbers for the great handover and transitioning support. Curlenl executive committee (Peachy, Eorann, Dan￿lIa. BreathAlex & Nacho) was formed in September 2020 and as we say goodbye lo our first year. we look forward lo continue supporting wrth raising the well needed money for our children's school. With school funding cuts, PTAS support has become crtlical to ensure that our kids have access lo adequate resources lo support their leaming experien￿. Sl Monica's is a school that has a strong communty spirit and past events are a great testimony. Children. parents. grandparents. relatives, and friends love coming to our school events. They are fun and they are great way to socialise whilst raising money for the school. Last major school event was 2019 Christmas Bazaar. This event on rts own raised around £14000. Then COVID came along... During 20-21-year, Friends PTA has had to completely re- think and transfom the

rhe Friemds ways in which we fundraise money as well as how we stream every donation & money collection process from parents until il reaches the Friends account. This year 20-21 all events had no cash dealing., revenue was collected via our fundraising page. Virgin Giving has been fundamental to last year success. For new parents and anyone else who might not be aware, Virgin Money Giving is a not-for-profit fundraising platform wrth a mission statement aimed to help UK charities raise and collect the money. Unfortunately. ￿rtain goc#J things come to an eThJ. Virgin Giving is closing down on the 30th November. Eorann & Alex will explain how we are moving forward with diffeient plalform that will SUPF)Ort Us lo continue in a similaf way. With Lockdown, COVID restriction & Bubbles throughout rnosl of the year, this meant Ihal 90Wo of 20-21 events were planned on-line Ivia zoom) or under sch¢)ol bubble reslriclions. This allowed us lo keep event expenses lo a minimum and keeping most money Taised as event profit. Here is a summary of main events and quanlilies (aised las profil}'. Happy bags school clothes collection, even though the price for KG went down due lo pandemic. Collections raised a total £1832 For those sports fanat￿s, Fr￿ndS organised a YOGA and a fftness session. Big thank you to Indira and Beata (school parents) for donating workouts. They raised £923. School teachers made possible one ol the chiklren favourile event. School discos. It was great to see k￿S dancing. enjoying, and coming home exhausted ready to go to bed. School discos raised £4421197% profiii. Prior Christmas Season saw Ihe dad's communty getting together for a night of Poker stars lon-linel. Tournament run over tsvo days and raised £2738. St Monica's is famous fof Ils Quiz night Unfortunately. this year could not lake place on ils usual school formal Many thanks lo Loretta Derham (school parent) for organising a Virtual Quiz. This event was a gieal success bul also become the biggest single money raiser 0120-21 thanks lo her Corporate match funding initiative. Total amount raised £3899 With bubble situation. il made the traditional Christrnas nativrties and Christmas COn￿rt not possible, however Brian Holmes {Ray's uncle- school dad} kindly donated his lime coming to school, Tecording the children singing and performing and producing a beautiful video recording. All the money raised through sharing recording 100 1 went lo the Fnends This raised £2129. Year 2021 came wrth a lol ol ￿n￿rtaInty from an event or9anisalion point of view. We were hoping that usual fixtures such as Golf & Summer Fete {our biggest earners) could lake place. This was not the case. To keep the fundraising going, we organised a series of smaller events. Last One standing raised £986, World book day faised £507, End of year Quiz al Chi Chis raised £459 (venue hiring was donated in kindl. Summer Fete could not happen, however we wanted lo make sure that school children had a summer celebiation, with schoolteacher's support and bouncy castles donation in kind, kids enjoyed from a Summer Fun day at school. This raised £2981.

The Friends In addition, there were and are other ongoing initiatives constantly raising money such as Facebook Preloved group. Baby & Todler. Dr Bike, Unifomi Sale and many more. Fundraising detail report will be emailed together with this summary report. We believe this year despite uncertainty and reslnctions was a success in terms of raising funds. Where all the money goes? All money raised goes straight to the school to fund leaming resources such as IPads, laptop suites, software licensing, swimming lessons, smart boards.. 20-21 year Friends donated a total of £20665. Most of this year's funding went towards covering sothvare licensing, school forest maintenance. music lessons. Christmas Pantomime and other school initiatives. SOf￿are licensin includes. Eorann & Alex will run through ac¢ount details. Looking into this new year, we believe we fa￿ great challenges in order lo keep fundraising money for our school and children. Challenges are mostly due lo the current un￿rtaInty,. we a￿ unable lo plan events accordingly. Having said that we are a￿ayS looking into how the Friends Can re invent themselves and keep organising events. To all parents, we are open lo suggestions and initiatives. If you have a fundraising idea. we are here lo help by setting up fundraising pages and use our communication channels and help lo make the event a success and raise lols of money for the school. This year we will start introducing contactless payments to fa¢ilrtale paying for any events and fundraising inilialives. We hope this may ease the need lo deal & handle cash. To conclude this AGM surnmary, we believe this 20-21 year has been a good year. Children. teachers, parents and the whole school staff and community have stepped up lo this great challenge and made a real difference to all events. We are happy lo continue working together with Kate, Tony, school staff, parents, and everyone to make the school a special place for our children. Thank you all for listening.
