## **Annual report 2024-2025** 

Another busy year with a pleasing gradual increase in our numbers at our new site. 

We were successful with an application for monies to purchase two wooden gazeboes’ for both the three-year-old and twoyear-old playgrounds. Also new sand and water tray, storage unit and cupboard, plus play equipment for the 2+ room. 

The children took part in a sponsored obstacle course, visited the Montgomeryshire Wildlife ponds and the Admiral’s view alpacas visited us for the children took part pet and walk around the playing field. 

We ran summer holiday play sessions for our Flying Start children and families also attended trips to Shrewsbury water park and Park Hall petting farm. 

We took our leavers to visit Mrs Williams school classroom during the term to give a smooth transition to their move into full time school. 

We returned to school in September and all the children settled into a busy term. The children did self-portraits and talked about our families and where we all live. 

We learned about Diwali and made clay bowls which the children enjoyed painting. They had fun carving pumpkins and knocked nails into them which showed great hand eye coordination. 

At the end of the term, we had a joint inspection with Care Standards Wales and Estyn, for which we received an excellent outcome, also being asked to write a case study about our use of Makaton for the Estyn website. 

In the spring term we took part the Pori Dori Stori rhyme time scheme and learned about St. Dwynwen, National Bird week, Chinese New Year, Mother’s Day and Easter.
