**Objects:** THE SOCIETY IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES IN THE AREA COMPRISING THE FORMER BEDWORTH URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE PARISHES OF BEDWORTH,BULKINGTON,EXHALL AND THE PARTS OF KERESLEY NOT IN COVENTRY),WHICH AREA SHALL HEREINAFTER BE REFERRED TO AS "THE AREA OF BENEFIT" 1)TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT 2)TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE GEOGRAPHY,HISTORY,NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT 3)TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION,PROTECTION,DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BEENEFIT

**Activities:** As a civic amenity society, founded in 1981, we comment on local planning and civic affairs. We hold regular monthly meetings for members and arrange frequent trips to places of interest. Our Heritage Centre, opened in 2000, shows several exhibitions a year on aspects of local history. Our website gives details of both aspects of our work as well as additional information about Bedworth history.
