Trustees: **Mr Aminur Rahman Mr Ashraf Hussain Mr Adeem Nisar**

## **Trustees Annual Report for the Year ended 31[st] December 2024**

## **Aim & Purposes**

The Organisation has a responsibility of providing Islamic teachings to the Muslim Community of the local area as well as providing a better understanding of the Islamic faith to the much wider Community. The Organisation also aims to provide suitable premises and facilities to any service user.

## **Objectives and Activities of the Charity**

During the year, we have continued work on the new floor. The structural work has been completed, and we are currently focused on furnishing. Our original goal was to complete the project in 2024; however, due to unforeseen delays, we were unable to meet that timeline. We are now aiming to complete the work in 2025.

The new premises are being used for daily prayers, educational classes for all age groups, community meetings/gatherings/functions, social activities, and Muslim funerals. Meeting rooms are available to external organisations on request.

## **Achievements and Performance**

During the last year, the Charity has continued with its efforts to provide children with Islamic education and studies. In addition, we have moved to the new premises which have been used for daily prayers where an Imam (teacher) leads the prayers five times a day. Educational classes for various age groups have been organised too.

The Charity has been very active in promoting and advertising the new premises to facilitate fundraising and related activities. The Charity is continuing its development work to make the new building even bigger with the planned extension.

## **Financial Review**

Total Receipts were £126,078

This was made up of public donations at Friday prayers, monthly membership fees and voluntary and as well as charities donations.

## **Statement of Trustee’s Responsibilities**

Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which show a true and fair view of the Charity and its financial activities for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to:

- Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently

- State whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and

- Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Charity will continue in operational existence.

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 1993. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

## **Independent Examiner**

The Trustees have asked Mr. I Mussadaq of Star Accountancy Services UK Ltd to undertake an independent examination of the Charity’s financial statements.
