2021/22 Annual Pastoral Report 2021/22 年度教牧報告
First, thank God for empowering His servants (Pastors Irene, Wai & Martin) to continue serving in BCCC, working with brothers and sisters under the lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of the Lord, our pastors and brothers and sisters have worked well together for the Lord. In the past year, the church has continued to be affected by the new coronavirus, but since October 2021, the church has resumed physical Sunday service, and due to the increase in the number of people participating in the service, the church has also opened a 4:30 pm Cantonese service, although the number of participants is only 30-40 at the moment.
We hope that as more new immigrants from Hong Kong come to settle in Bristol or neighbouring areas, the number of participants will continue to grow in the near future. Currently we also encourage brothers & sisters to switch from online to physical Sunday service so as to enhance their fellowship together. We thank God’s lead for the smooth running of Cantonese Ministry, English Ministry and Mandarin Ministry physical services.
Due to the limited space of Tyndale Baptist Church, our church is also actively looking for other properties that can be used for Sunday service and fellowship meetings. We believe that if we continue to pray, God will provide a larger and more suitable venue for the use of the church. Except for a few fellowship groups, most of the fellowships have already resumed physical gatherings, and the number of participants has increased at the same time.
Since last year, four H.K. new immigrant groups have been established, respectively in Portishead, Bath/Keynsham, Shepton Mallet/Trowbridge/Chippenham and Bradley Stoke areas. The fellowship in Bradley Stoke has also successfully partnered with the EM Young Family Fellowship, they now gather in the same place and hopefully they can have cross ministry opportunities in the future.
The Children and Youth Ministry (CYM), which many leaders care for, has experienced ministry growth and adjustment. The CYM now has Children Sunday School up to Year 6, Rooted Fellowship on Saturday nights, and the newly started Sunday BCCC Youth Service from 2pm to 4pm. We give thanks to God, for He has led the teachers, the team and the committee to work together and bring growth in CYM ministry. May God gain His glory from the ministries.
In the past year, our church has seen that many new immigrants from Hong Kong have settled in Bristol or nearby areas. The church in the near future is eager to use more human and material resources to serve the new immigrants. So far, we have contacted 254 new immigrant families and about 200 of them have arrived in Bristol or nearby areas. It is anticipated that more families will come in May-August 2022. About half of the brothers and sisters of the new immigrant families who have arrived and started to participate in the church's worship and fellowship meetings. We are also grateful for the Church brothers and sisters who have actively served them, especially the new friends who just moved to Bristol.
We can see that maybe in the next four years, new immigrants will be one of the very important ministries of the church. In the past year, our church and Broadmead Baptist Church worked together to hold an English conversation class and an English Alpha course for new immigrants, each course with about 30 people attending, attracting half of the non-believers to participate as well. Thanks to our Lord! Among them, there was a new participant who has committed to our Lord Jesus Christ. At the same time, there is also a new believer each in the English Ministry and the Mandarin Ministry.
We can see that God is working among different people groups to lead them to Him. In the coming year, the church will continue to cooperate with local churches to hold English conversation classes and English Alpha courses to advance evangelism. On May 21st this year, our church, UKHK and local churches will hold a large Friendship Festival at College Green in Bristol. It is anticipated that 500 new immigrants from Hong Kong and 500 locals will participate.
The Church will encourage more to take part in serving the society. We are now serving the homeless, and the annual Bristol Noise community service event. May BCCC partner more with local churches

and Christian organisations, so that we can effectively bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the communities.
Looking ahead, BCCC can:
1) Willingly receive the training as Jesus’ disciples through the biblical teaching from church fellowships, the influence of spiritual leaders and the build up of strong spiritual relationships among each other.
2) Work together to receive new friends who will move to Bristol.
3) Work together and actively partner with more local Christian churches, to witness the Gospel to communities in Bristol.
4) Connect and bond more with local pastoral leaders, establish a partnership with them, and work to do the task that God has given to the churches in Bristol.
5) Keep looking to God in His provision of a place of gathering, so we can revive the Gospel together there. May God’s wonderful will be done in all these.
Finally, we would end with Ephesians 4:16: "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Pray that God will continue to use the pastoral team, the executive committee, the leaders of the subcommittees, brothers and sisters, so that they can use their different gifts to build the church.
May brothers and sisters grow together in the Lord and are willing to accept training to become disciples so that the church can continue to grow and preach the gospel and glorify the name of our Lord in Bristol and neighbouring areas! May grace and peace be with you from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!
感謝神!讓僕人 Martin 傳道、韋傳道和 Irene (陳月明牧師)繼續在布里斯托華人基督教會侍奉，在 主的帶領下牧者們與弟兄姊妹一同為主作工。過往一年，教會繼續受新冠狀病毒的影響，但是 從 2021 年 10 月份開始，教會巳恢復了實體崇拜，並且因參與實體崇拜的人數增長，教會亦開 設一堂四時三十分的廣東話崇拜，雖然暫時參加人數只有 30-40 人，盼望隨著香港新移民陸續 來到布里斯托或鄰近地區定居，在未來的日子，參與崇拜人數會有繼續增長，我們同時亦鼓勵 現時正在網上參加崇拜的弟兄姊妹回復實體崇拜，增加肢體相交的機會。感恩神的帶領，教會 的廣東話、英語和普通話的三語崇拜都可以順利進行。因著 Tyndale 教會場地使用的限制，教會 現階段亦積極尋找物業，我們相信繼續禱告，上帝必然供應更大更合適的場地給教會崇拜和小 組聚會之用。至於教會小組團契方面，現時大部份都恢復了實體聚會，參加人數同時有所增 長，從去年開始亦加設了四個新移民小組，分別在 Portishead, Bath/Keynsham, Shepton Mallet/Trowbridge/Chippenham 和 Bradley Stoke 等地方。Bradley Stoke 的小組更是併英文的 Young Family Fellowship 合用同一個地點，盼望小組以後可以有跨語言方式團契的機會。
同時，許多領袖關心的兒童及青少年事工也經歷了事工調整和成長。這事工現在除了星期日的 兒童主日學、星期六晚的 Rooted 青少年團契以外，還剛開始了星期日 2 點到 4 點，教會正式的 青少年崇拜。感恩神，在整個進展的過程中帶領，讓老師們、帶領的事工委辦、和服事團隊都 經歷成長。願主繼續從這個事工裡得祂自己的榮耀。
在過往一年裏，教會眼見有不少香港新移民已或將會定居於布里斯托或鄰近地區，教會渴望短 暫的未來運用多些人力和物力去侍奉新移民，到現在為止，我們已累計接觸了 254 個新移民家 庭，當中約有 200 個新移民家庭已到達布里斯托或鄰近地區，未來 5 到 8 月份內將會有更多家 庭來臨，已來臨的新移民家庭弟兄姊妹中，約半數開始參加了教會的崇拜和團契聚會。除此以

外，我們感恩教會的一些弟兄姐妹願意更主動地付出去接待不同的弟兄姐妹，尤其是剛搬遷到 Bristol 的新朋友。可見未來 4 年，新移民是教會其中一項很重要的事工，大部份新移民是未得 之民，他們亦是教會傳福音的對象。在過往一年裏，教會和 Broadmead Baptist Church 合作舉辨 英語會話班和英語啟發課程，各出席人數約有 30 人，吸引了一半未信主的朋友參加，感謝主！ 當中有一位新朋友決志信主。同時，在英文的事工也和中國大學生當中，個別有一位剛信主的 人。我們看到神在不同的群體當中，祂都帶領人信主。在未來一年裏，教會繼續與本地教會合 作，舉辨英語會話班和英語啟發課程，推動福音事工。在本年五月二十一日，教會與 UKHK 和 本地教會將在 Bristol 的 College Green 舉辨一個大型 Friendship Festival，預計有 500 香港新移民 和 500 本地人參加。教會也將積極地參與社會服務事工，其中有向街頭露宿者的服事，還有一 年一度 Bristol Noise 社區服務的配搭。盼望與當地教會和機構更多的配搭，可以達到向社區見證 耶穌基督的福音的目的。
展望未來，

一）教會繼續透過團契提供教導、領袖的影響和屬靈關係的建立，願意接受栽培作主的門徒， 一起順服神。

二）教會一起服事到 Bristol 的新移民朋友。

三）教會也將與當地教會有更多接觸和配搭的事工，向社區見證福音。
四）教會有機會透過與當地牧者的聯繫，與當地教會建立更頻密的屬靈合作，做成神預備給 Bristol 的工作。
五）教會繼續仰望神提供神所預備的場所，在那裡一起興旺福音。求主在這一切的事上成就祂 的美意。
感謝上帝繼續同在，帶領教會，讓弟兄姐妹繼續回應教會本年度的主題「謹聽主言，為主守 望」，共同堅忍，保守大家屬靈的聚會。不但弟兄姐妹們信心沒有因此沮喪跌倒，還有部分弟 兄姐妹得到造就、成長。上帝仍然引領著我們，加上弟兄姊妹和牧者們同心努力，教會事工能 繼續進行，崇拜和團契聚會仍繼續在網上運作，真實體現「為要成全聖徒，各盡其職，建立基 督的身體。」(以弗所書 4:12) 。求神繼續大大使用教牧同工們、執委們、各分委會領袖及弟兄 姊妹，叫他們能運用各樣的恩賜發展教會事工，盼望弟兄姊妹能在主裏一起成長，教會更能得 以持續增長，在布裡斯托和鄰近地區，傳揚福音，榮耀主名！願恩惠、平安從神我們的父和主 耶穌基督歸與你們！阿們！

Annual Chairperson’s Report 年度主席報告
Shalom Brothers and Sisters of BCCC,
May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Let us look at some of the key events in the year 2021/2022:
| 25/04/2021 | The 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held virtually, annual finance accounts and budgets were approved by church members. With brother Brian intending to step down, we once again did not have sufficient number of nominations joining the Executive Committee (EC), the EC election was postponed for an additional period of 6 months. |
| 09/05/2021 | We had our Children’s and Youth Ministry (CYM) week where we promoted and emphasizes the importance of next generation ministries and the teaching of our faith to the next generation. We also encouraged more brothers and sisters to serve in this ministry. |
| 27/06/2021 | Our second Church Strategy planning meeting was held virtually. Leaders from fellowship groups and serving teams attended and followed up from the previous meeting using the communication platform to suggest possible areas of focus and need in our church’s overall direction. |
| 20/07/2021 | Our church property seeking team and the Church Council has launched the initial pledge for the bidding of a potential church property. Although in the end it was unsuccessful. We have highlighted the lessons learned and re-assess our approach to church property purchasing. |
| 01/08/2021 | Our first time for our Sunday serving members returning to Tyndale Baptist Church for a live broadcasted service. |
| 26/9/2021 | The first Special General Meeting (SGM) was held virtually, where the brother Wing Leung Wong, sister Mona Kou, brother Michael Ho and I was elected as EC members and formed the 2021/2022 EC. Brother Wyman Tao was elected as internal auditor. |
| 10/10/2021 | Our first physical Sunday Services was held. Under the COVID restrictions imposed by the government and the recommendations by Tyndale Baptist Church, the Church Council has decided to introduce a sign up system to limit the number of attendees to the physical gathering. |
| 26/12/2021 | We held a Christmas Sunday Activity ‘Emmanuel’, involving a mixture of games, prayer, social gathering |
| 09/01/2022 | We started holding an additional Cantonese Service at 4:30pm to cater for the increasing number of attendees competing for limited seats at 2pm and for the increasing Cantonese speaking congregant members. |
| 16/01/2022 | Our third Church Strategy planning meeting was held virtually. From the areas of focus given from the second meeting, we encouraged further discussion among leaders in these specific areas and to seek God’s promises in these areas to encourage our serving teams to continue to serve. |
| 30/01/2022 | We had a Chinese new year celebration physically following the Sunday Service as an |

opportunity to invite friends and family to hear the gospel. 20/03/2022 After two years of celebrating our church anniversary virtually, this years anniversary we could celebrate it physically with refreshments after the 2pm service. Brother Matthew Ng has also kindly prepared a celebration video for us to enjoy and count God’s blessings. 27/03/2022 Our first physical children’s performance at Tyndale’s main hall since the COVID lockdown happened on Mother’s Day service. 03/04/2022 Our growing number of children and youths in CYM has lead to the starting of a new youth Sunday Service at Woodlands. 24/04/2022 The 2022 AGM was held physically after 2pm service for presentation of annual reports, financial accounts and budget reports and voting for the next EC.
Our Pastors
We thank the Lord for His continual provision to our church!
Within the Pastoral Team, Rev Irene Chan, who is our Pastoral Advisor, will continue to support BCCC and surrounding churches; whilst Ps. Martin Choi and Ps. Chee Kiat Wai are continuing as full-time pastors of BCCC.
Within the Pastoral Team, all three Pastors will be supporting each other in all aspects of leading the church.
Ps. Choi will work to encourage and nurture the Cantonese Ministry (CM) and in providing support to the newly set up small groups of predominantly new arrivals to the UK. Ps. Wai will work to encourage and nurture English Ministry (EM) and Mandarin Ministry (MM). Both Pastors will continue to support the development of Children and Youth Ministry (CYM) as well as the integration of New Immigrant Ministry (NIM) into the rest of the church.
Our Members
It is not surprising to see that our average Sunday attendance has increased significantly, not only in the CM, but also in EM and MM. Praise the Lord for adding more numbers to our congregation. Church membership however has not followed the trend, and has a stable increase. As the majority of the new congregants are new arrivals to the UK from Hong Kong. One of our main focuses will be to encourage and support the integration of their spiritual life with BCCC’s church life and to encourage them to become members of our church.
The Church Council will continue to maintain a transparent and open means of communication with our members on any matters of our church, as we are going through some exciting and busy times with growing ministries. Now that we have returned to physical services, the Church Council can once again be approached physically for any feedback on church leadership, although with more new arrivals dividing the attention of the CC with many new developments happening every week in different ministries. So the Church Council will be utilising more of our social media channels, which were initially

set up to manage the communications during the pandemic, to keep all our members up to date with the latest developments and we welcome members to give us feedback via these channels as well.
Post-COVID-19 Planning
Praise the Lord for providing us with brothers and sisters who are gifted in IT, Audio Visual broadcasting and an extremely adaptable pastoral team and serving teams that has kept us virtually gathering to worship and to be encouraged by God’s word over the past year. I would like to give thanks to the brothers and sisters that have gone the extra mile in supporting the church during the transitional period from virtual to physical. I would like to particularly thank the Audio Visual team for their hard work and commitment in improving the delivery quality even with limited resources.
Praise the Lord for the allowing us to return to gather face to face to worship together on Sunday and also to meet in our small groups. I would like to thank all the fellowship group leaders for their efforts in adjusting to the new normal, managing the logistics of small group meetings and persisting in facilitating face to face meetings.
New Fellowship Groups
Praise the Lord for also allowing us to finally meet face to face with many of the new arrivals to the UK from Hong Kong which we may have only met virtually in the early part of 2021. Praise the Lord for the opportunity for our church to be a new spiritual home for them. I would like to welcome them once again to BCCC, and express my appreciation to their testimony of strong faith and submission to our Lord’s teaching by committing themselves to meeting together and forming small groups, actively engaging in church life and fellowshipping with us.
I pray that our Lord will lead the integration process of the old and the new members in coming together as one in due time. That we may act as Ephesians 4:4-6 reminds us “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” to bring the good news to the lost in Bristol, regardless of whether they are recent arriving BN(O) holders from Hong Kong or not.
Church property
I would like to thank the church property seeking team for their efforts in progressing with the building fund pledge, search for potential buildings and the recommendations to the CC on various other administrative issues. I am grateful for brothers and sisters willingness to offer their gifts and talents in this area for the glory of God. There is no doubt that our growing need for our own space for fellowshipping and worshiping has been expedited in the past year. It is a joy to see many of our children, youth and families needing additional space for gathering. We will continue to work with the church property seeking team in the coming year and in God’s timing , may we find the suitable property that our Lord has prepared for us.
Future Outlook

With the growing needs as mentioned above, it is only natural to assume that the major focus of the coming year would be on finding a suitable building, training and recruiting leaders for the next generation ministries, developing and supporting the new Cantonese speaking fellowship groups. Rightly so and without a doubt these would be the key events to take place in the coming year. However in terms of our focus as a church, I would like to remind us all of Paul’s words inspired by the Holy Spirit to a church richly blessed with God’s gift and provisions:
What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
May our focus not be the projects we have coming up, but in living out lives rooted in the Word of God, filled with the Spirit and in all circumstances giving thanks to God for our privilege to serve him. May the works of giving all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, within church ministry or in our daily lives, be our one and only focus for the future.
Personal remarks
Lastly, I would like to thank all our members for all the support they have shown one another and the Church Council over the past year. Throughout the transitions we have experienced, being as disorganised, absent-minded and inexperienced in many areas as I am, I am very grateful to all our members in their support and encouragement to me personally and also the members of the CC through this difficult time. As cliché as it may sound, I would not have been able serve in this capacity without all of your prayers and support, as I believe that your support is one of the main channels of God’s grace in sustaining me. So may we look forward to experiencing more of his grace and peace even in more turbulent times ahead.

我們的牧者
感謝主對我們教會不斷的供應！
在教牧團隊內，我們的牧者顧問陳月明牧師將繼續支持 BCCC 和周邊教會。蔡明發傳道和韋智杰 傳道則繼續擔任 BCCC 的全職牧者。
在教牧團隊內，三位牧師將在的各個方面相互支持，領導教會。
蔡傳道將致力推廣粵語事工，並為各個新成立的以新移民為主的小組提供支持。而韋傳道將專注 於英語事工及國語事工。兩位牧師將繼續支持兒童和青少年事工的發展，以及將新移民事工融入 教會其他部門。
我們的會友
隨著我們週日的平均出席人數顯著增加，不僅在粵語事工 ，而且在英語話普通話事工也有同樣趨 勢。感謝主為我們的會眾增加添了人數。教會會友人數卻並沒有跟上趨勢，而是穩定增長。 由於大多數新會眾都是從香港到英國的新移民。我們事工的主要焦點之一是和支援他們的屬靈生 命與鼓勵他們在BCCC 的教會生活中融合，並鼓勵他們成為我們教會會友。
教會執委會將繼續就與我們的成員保持透明和開放的溝通方式，特別我們正在經歷一段剌激和忙 碌的時期，事工不斷增長。
儘管更多的新事工可能分薄了教會議會的注意力，因為每週在不同的事工中都有許多新的發展， 現在當我們已經恢復了實體祟拜，可以再次親身與各人面對面聯繫，我們十分歡迎任何對教會事 工的反饋和意見。
另外，教會執委會將更多地利用我們網上的社交媒體渠道和大家分享資訊和交流。令我們會眾更 加了解教會的最新動態，我們亦歡迎會眾通過這些渠道向我們提供意見。
疫情後的規劃
感謝主為我們供應在資訊科技、影音媒體方面有恩賜的弟兄姊妹，和一眾適應力極強的牧者同工 和事奉團隊。在過去的一年裡，讓我們維持著有網上祟拜，能領受著神的話語的鼓勵。

我要感謝在從網上過渡到實體祟拜當中，超額地付出來支持教會各樣運作的弟兄姐妹。我要特別 感影音團隊在資源有限的情況下仍然對改善影音質量一直都有要求、並為此辛勤工作。
讚美主讓我們在能夠一起面對面敬拜，也讓我們在小組中聚會。感謝所有團契小組組長為適應新 常態、按排小組聚會背後的付出和一直持之以恆地有實體聚會而願意付出的努力。
新的團契小組
讚美主，讓我們終於能與許多從香港到英國的新移民實體的見面相交，儘管很多也只是在 2021 年 初才在網上第一次認識。感謝主讓我們的教會有機會為他們提供了屬靈的家。
我想再次歡迎他們來到 BCCC，並感謝他們投入聚會和並且已經有組成新的小組、積極參與教會生 活和與我們團契。我們也在他們身上見證到堅定的信心和順服主的教導。
我祈求主在適當的時候帶領新舊會眾們能有更多的機會去彼此相交和團契，能更多認識並在靈裡 合而為一。願我們像以弗所書 4:4-6 所講的去行“身體只有一個，聖靈只有一個，正如你們蒙召同 有一個指望；一主，一信，一洗，一神，就是眾人的父，超乎眾人之上，貫乎眾人之中，也住在 眾人之內。”一同作為教會將福音帶給在Bristol 有需要的人，不論他們是否從香港抵達的 BN(O) 持有人。
教會物業
我要感謝教會物業搜索團隊在推動和鼓勵會友認獻的籌備和付出、在尋找物業以及就其他購堂方 面的行政問題向執委會提出建議當中所做的努力。我很感激弟兄姊妹願意在這方面獻出他們的恩 賜和才能來榮耀上帝。毫無疑問，在過去的一年裡，教會在團契和祟拜空間的需求不斷增長。很 感恩看到我們有許多兒童、青少年和家庭都需要更多的聚會空間。來年我們會繼續與物業搜索團 隊合作，在神的時間裡，願我們找到合神心意的物業。
未來展望
隨著上述需求的增長，自然的假設來年的主要目標是要尋找物業、為下一代事工招募和培訓領 袖、發展和支持新的粵語團契小組。沒錯，毫無疑問，這些都會是來年我們希望發生的關鍵事 情。但是，作為我們教會的焦點而言，我想提醒各人使徒保羅在聖靈的感動下對一間滿有上帝的 恩賜和供應的教會所說的話：
亞波羅算什麼？保羅算什麼？無非是執事，照主所賜給他們各人的，引導你們相信。我栽種了， 亞波羅澆灌了，唯有神叫他生長。可見栽種的算不得什麼，澆灌的也算不得什麼，只在那叫他生 長的神。
願我們的焦點不是放在我們即將開展的新項目、新計劃，而是活出植根在上帝話語裡面的生活， 被聖靈充滿，並在任何情況下也感謝上帝讓我們有這份榮幸去侍奉祂。
願我們各人不論在教會事工或日常的工作或生活中，都歸榮耀給我們的主耶穌基督，以此為我來 年唯一的焦點。

個人訊息
最後，我要感謝我們所有的會友們在過去一年中給予彼此和教會執委會的支持。在我們經歷各階 的段的轉變中，在應付許多範疇有我這個「大頭蝦」，又缺乏經驗。我非常感謝所有會友在這段 困難的時期中對我個人以及整個執委會其他成員的支持和鼓勵。
儘管聽起來有些陳腔濫調，但如果沒有各位會友們的所有的禱告和支持，我肯定我無法像這一年 般在這個崗位侍奉，因為我相信你們的禱告支持是上帝賜給我的力量去服侍的恩典的主要渠道之 一。
因此，即使在將來更加動蕩的時段，我們也期待更多地經歷我們主耶穌基督的恩典與和平。
