Trustees. Annual Report 2025 Objectives and activities The charity, which is unincorporated, is governed by a written constitution that was amended and approved, to meet new legislation, by the Trustees on the 19th October 2017. Its charitable objective is to "help and educate young people through their leisure time activities so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved" In fulfilling this objective, the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the charity Commission on public benefit. The charity's principal day-to-day activity is the maintenance of the Kirton Youth Centre that opened in 1998, thereby providing facilities for the benefit of the youth of the parish of Kirton. Trustee recruitment Trustees are recruited locally. They are selected because of their interest in the work of the charity or their expertise that may be of benefit to Kirton Youth Challenge. Achievements and performance The centre is now 29 years old and is home to 8 youth organizations. The 6 Scouting and Guiding groups continue to be well attended with waiting lists to join some of the packs. The Army Cadets Force parade weekly on Tuesday evening. Kids club attendance has recovered over 2024 and is now almost at full capacity. The Centre also continues to be the home for Boston Model Railway Society. The majority of the old lighting has now been replaced with LED lighting, the remaining old lights will be replaced when they fail. Financial Review KMB Monthly support has come to an end, the building continues to be in good order with minor repairs being carried out as required. Externally the grounds are in good order. The charity aims to hold a reserve of £25,000 against unexpected major expenditure on the upkeep of an ageing building. This is still slightly below for 2025. Signed on behalf of the charity's Trustees. D I Currie Chairman 15/0412025
