presentation of sell-out shows including ForA Palestiruon. surpassing artisl and aUdIe￿e devel¢)pmenl ambitKsns. We
delivered our fwst full programme of woth since the pandemic ￿th over 3W performances by 141 artistslcompanies. Our
audience reach increased by 50% on the preknious financial ￿r. reaching neaty 13.(￿ audience members and
developing our underslantling of audien￿ behaviours posl-pandemic as W￿ retum to full capacity.
We continued to explore how can demwalise wr deCiS￿n making. Our Communty Steering Group. establtshed in
21122. expanded its responsibilities lo indude shordith.ng tr* projecls VIE coMmiss￿n and programming our communty
events. We also estatAished a New Programmers training scheme that see5 10 diveT5e young creatives join us on
attachment for 18 months to watch and programme vhyk on tehalf of CPT. We're exctted about the change this has made
in our programme and the ownershy that comm￿[ty has over the WO￿ CPT chamwns.

democratise the traditional philanthropc model. Our monthty supporters reCe￿e Ihe same benefits regardless of the amount

The of the commission increases as our membership grows. This marks an exciting transit￿ in how value the
donations ￿ receive and the role that our supporters can play in supporting our artists.
We embarked on a parlnwship wilh 8irkbeck UnNersty as the delNery parlners on a Collaborative Theatre Making module
as part of their MA Text and Performance. 15 students wgned up to the course in its first year. wth CPT'S artistic director
and team d¢liv¢ring 10 ￿tekS of ￿0th$hOP$ and wo1￿K)nal develownent opwlunities before a week4ong sharing of
di55ertation performance5.

audien¢e behaw¢)ur Ipost-P8ndemic and against the bad(drop of a c051-of4iwng crists). and with fvnding for independent
afiisls and their projects harder to secure than ever ￿fore. High-quality projects on th)se funding prospects we could once
depend fell through for want of ACE or other fvnding. leaving last-minute h)ies in our prcgramme- and demoralising a
community of artists whose lives were hard enough in the first pla￿.
In this context, CPT'S eslablishwtg fo¢)thold for artists m (￿r industry. and buikling secure plarforn5 for their worf(, is
more important than ever. In 2022-23. supported an extraordinary range of artists. and brought some stellar work to the
stage. Autumn 2022 featured a three-week fun of BiLql Hasna and Aaron lQleraeglu's FCK a Palestinian. one of the biggest
t*)X•office hits we've ever Se￿ at CPT. Aistair Hall premiered the in-person version of his di&ital hil Declan la"slinging tale
of loss. loneliness and sexual tliscoverf- The Guardian). wthith is p￿paring for a run on Ihe Edinburgh Fringe. Pigfoot
brou9hl us the finished production of Hol in Here. originally comrniss￿ned on our'oulside the Box. scheme, and which
would subsequenuy be picked up for onward cnmmi55ion and co-woduction wilh our new Camden neighbours. the Gate
Theatre. where li would enjoy a three-%￿k run in spring 2023.

CPT continued throughout the year to engage its hxal community in arts and ojllural proiects. often designed by the
community itself- not least via the mechanism of our Community Steering Group, which met monthly and fed into artistic

Camden Youth Theatre relumed to a group format. erKJ8ging 40 teenagers INe or go lo school in Camden
free high-quality drama workshops every year. In 22r23, in ￿sponSe lo feedback from pa￿cipants. the Monday group
worked with filmmaker Claire Ndan to write and make short films that were screened at New Diorama Theatre. The
Tuesday group spent the majority of the year writing and demsing a new pr￿J￿¢tiOn inspired by the YP novel And T+ts8 Slars
Were BUrnm￿ 8r•3hlly by Danielle Java￿10. The sIM)w￿l11 be perfmned al CPT and New Diorama Theatre in May 2023.
Funding
CPT is thankful for all of our supporters in 2022r23. In October 2022. we successfulty secured a furlher three years of core
fvnding as a Natronal Portfolio lTrganisation for Arts CAtncil England. Wtlh this funding now confimied until 2026. we can
now focus on ddivering our plans lo conlribute to Arts Council EThJkind's Let's Create strategy.
2022-23 also marked the first full year of cwnmlss￿nlng actswty funded by the Paul Hamlyn FcMJndaiion as detailed in the
8ftistic ovemew above. As part of this we ￿'d the fourKh￿lcx)S for the more si9nfficanl commissiMs that wll come to fruition
in the lalter part of 2023 and beyond.
We also successfulty secured core funding from the Cthnmunty Impacts RefAIler￿ Fund arKI Garfield Weston Foundation,
%thich marks a new relationship wth a key arts funder. We are 9r8teful for their support for our core programme and the
value this F4¥es on our rde supporting aTrJ cultivating new lalents as ty enter the theatre Thjustry.
Alongside this ￿SlI1¥e news, Ihe fall-out from the parthmic and the reall¢xalw)n of Arts Coun¢21 England fuTrJs outside of
London in the October 2022 NPO announcement has kd to an incredibly compelitive funding environment. CPT is worki
hard to nawgale this Un￿¢edented climate. adapting our fvndraiyng and programming strategy as *tll as r&imaginin9
our indiwdual giving schemes lo better respond to our aud￿nCe1$￿pPOrter demographic.

relationship5 With university partners. At the end of Q1 of 2W24. CPT secured ts¥o >ears of funding from the City Bridgè
Trust to continue our WOTk on transfoming cMJr aetess provision for artists and audiences. This project buikjs on five years
of work, largely supported by Camden Giving lo drive change in the sector lo be more indusNe. To date these initiatives
have seen artists identsfying as Deaf, disabled. ￿Ur0dIver9enI andlor Voith a kn*lemi health cnndilion participating in our
programme increasing from 10% to 330A. Similady Deaf arxl dIsa￿ed audIer￿S have increased from 5% to 15Y• over the
Same period. 5(Vh of our CO￿ staff team identrfy as Deaf, disabled. neurodivergent andlor with a k￿9-terM health condrtion,
an increase from 14% when we first embarked on the wlot project. reflecting the signEfieant impact this woth has had on how
