**Activities:** Thanet O.W.L.S. offers a confidential telephone listening service for anyone in crisis or in need of telephone befriending. Now in its 21st year, it operates every evening between 7-10pm, and the volunteers undergo an intensive preparation course before selection. Its centre is based in the Palm Bay area of Thanet.
