| Summary ofthe main achievements ofthe charity, |
Para 1.20 | Children are taught not only physical skills ofstrength, balance and |
| identifying | the | difference the | coordination but also how to cope in |
| charity's | work | has made to | differing physical and social |
| the circumstances | of its | environments. They are taught and given |

| beneficiaries and |
any wider | the strength to work both autonomously | |||
| benefits to society as a | and also as part ofa team, Adaptability | ||||
| whole. | and Managing both winning and losing |
| are encouraged. | |||||
| Squads work hard to develop their | |||||
| gymnasts to a level where they can |
| compete in both regional and national |
| levels. | |||||
| Covid changed operations for Waterside | |||||
| drastically this year. It's necessary rules and |
| regulations meant we needed to adapt quickly |
| and accordingly. While physical training could |
| obviously not continue, we instantly changed to |
| online lessons for squad gymnasts and later |
| introduced outside lessons as rules relaxed |
| slightly. We also had to reduce class sizes and cut | |||||
| sessions to limit numbers and mixing of |
| disciplines/children. | |||||
| During the year because ofCovid no | |||||
| Artistic grades were gained, but the | |||||
| squad continued to work hard for the | |||||
| 2021 grades. | |||||
| Teamgym and AGS gymnasts worked hard |
| despite the disruption ofCovid, and took part in |
| two virtual competitions during lockdown. |
| Routines were filmed at home with all gymnasts |
| having to fulfil certain individual criteria and |
| several medals were won in the process. |
