||||The Scout District Team exists to provide support and training|to|
||||individual<br>groups and leaders within the Scout District.||
||||The District has also been responsible<br>for a number ofevents||
||||throughout<br>the year including<br>St Georges Day Celebrations,|a|
||||Carol service and a District camp, all ofwhich were achieved||
||||virtually.||
||||The District Executive Trustees support the District leaders and||
||||provide leadership<br>and support to all scout groups within the||
||||District.||
||||The District Trustees acknowledge<br>and appreciate the||
||||contribution<br>made by all volunteers<br>ofthe Scouting Movement||
||||within South Ribble as without their efforts the district could not||
||||function.||





||SRDSC policy on reserves isto hold suffident resources to|

||continue the charitable<br>activities ofthe Scout District should|
||income and fundraising<br>activities tall short.<br>The District|
||Executive Committee<br>considers that the Scout District should|
||also hold a sum enabling<br>timely payment<br>of headquarters|
||membership<br>fees and fulfilment<br>of tiabMities to third parties in the|
||event ofScout Group Closures<br>within the District jurisdidion.|
||Addwonal<br>reserves are also held to support<br>development<br>ofthe|
||District across s range ofareas such as International<br>Travel,|
||equipment<br>or infrastructure.|
||The Group held reserves of approximately<br>f152,000against this|
||st year end. The reserves increased<br>more than usual due to<br>limited activities asa result of Pandemic<br>induced 'Sodal|
||Distancing'<br>although<br>this will be oNset in 2021/22 by a temporary|
||redudion<br>in District membership<br>fees introduced<br>to help protect|
||the finances ofindividual<br>Scout Groups.|
||No funds ofthe District are in defidt.|
||The Scout Districts principal<br>source offinance isa membership|
||fee for those members ofthe Scout Assodation<br>within the District|
||and under the sge of18years.|
