**Objects:** (1) TO ADVANCE THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PAEDIATRICS; (2) TO RAISE THE STANDARDS OF MEDICAL CARE PROVIDED TO CHILDREN; (3) TO EDUCATE AND EXAMINE THOSE CONCERNED WITH THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN:(4) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC (AND IN PARTICULAR PRACTITIONERS OF ILLNESS AND DISEASE IN CHILDREN, THE PREVENTION OF ILLNESS AND DISEASE IN CHILDREN AND SAFEGUARDING THEIR OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT.

**Activities:** The College aims to promote high quality, effective and efficient health services for children and young people, their parents and other carers, delivered by appropriately trained and experienced doctors. The College works with all health carers of children to improve the overall physical, mental and emotional health of children and young people in the UK and elsewhere.
