USM report 2021
USM are grateful to God for starting and ending 2021 with us. Although the pandemic continued into this year – the Lord gave us the strength to continue the work we had started, and encounter new and exciting things.
We continued to use Youtube, Zoom and conference calls to keep connected and shared messages of Truth, hope and restoration. We never made light of the uncertainty of our times, but continued to remind ourselves that with Christ, we stand on unshakable ground. We saw great growth within our online community and hope to build on this with more engagement on social media platforms
In October 2021, USM moved into our new home at The Salvation Army, Catford and began in-person services.
Our first in-person service was filled with music, dancing, the Word and fellowship. We were planted in the heart of the community and were ready to serve and be a positive impact.
Our foodbank drive continued throughout the pandemic, and we were excited to continue this ministry in our new place of worship. The date was set for a Christmas donation, and as well as donating essential items, we encouraged our members to buy Christmas treats to mark the season.
2021 was a time of new beginnings and exciting opportunities. We are excited to continue this journey and believe that as we enter 2022 – the best is still yet to come!
