## Chairman’s Report 2024/25

This year you will be pleased to hear that my report will be short.

We were pleased to welcome Giles back onto the committee and also to co— opt 2 new members, Sarah Rann and Richard Tufnell.

We seem to struggle to engage people to assist with our maintenance work, but are grateful to Mark and David for their commitment.

The planter and notice board have been completed in Peterville and the St Agnes Well is almost complete, thank you to all involved.

We have continued to be supportive to organizations within the village as outlined in the treasurer’s report.

The Garden of Rest is still a contentious issue with the Parish Council, the footpaths, seats and the gate at the Lych gate has not been resolved. We are now negotiating with them to take back full responsibility including the seats and gates. We have met with the Parish Council to discuss the transfer of land gifted to the LIC or Parish and also sought legal advice.

Melville has been overseeing the car park, by placing notices on vehicles who are not displaying a ticket.

I must again say how grateful I am to June and Peter, most people do not appreciate how much they do for the Improvement Committee.

In conclusion when electing our committee, we must have a Vice Chairman for continuity of the LIC.
