**Objects:** 1. TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS CARRYING OUT CHARITABLE PURPOSES INFORMATION AND TRAINING WHICH ENABLES SUCH CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS TO HAVE A GREATER UNDERSTANDING ON HOW TO RECRUIT AND RETAIN VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ASIAN, AFRICAN OR AFRICA-CARIBBEAN. 2. TO RELIEVE NEED OR POVERTY BY PROVIDING  AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES OF TRAINING FOR YOUNG UNEMPLOYED PERSONS TO TAKE ON VOLUNTEERING, IN ORDER TO ENABLE SUCH YOUNG PERSONS TO ACQUIRE SKILLS, THE POSSESSION OF WHICH WILL ASSIST THEM IN OBTAINING EMPLOYMENT OR OTHERWISE BECOME SELF SUPPORTING TO MITIGATE THE HARDSHIPS CAUSED BY UNEMPLOYMENT. 3. TO PROMOTE GOOD RACE RELATIONS BY MEANS OF RAISING AWARENESS OF VOLUNTEERING TO PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY RACISM, BY INTEGRATING VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ASIAN, AFRICAN OR AFRICA-CARIBBEAN INTO THE SOCIAL STRUCTURE THEREBY POSITIVELY PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING MULTI RACIAL VOLUNTEERING IN PRACTICE. 4. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION BY MEANS OF PROMOTING AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTO ALL ASPECTS OF VOLUNTEERING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND TO DESSIMINATE THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY.
