I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (Yhe Trust") for the year ended 31103 12025.
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
('tthe Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Ob'ectives and activities
The Band's objectives are..
to advance the education of the public in the art of brass band
mu5ic-making;
to further the development of public appreciation in the said art by
the presentation of public concerts, music festivals, and similar
activities,
to encourage the musical education of young players by the
provision of tuition and training facilities.

The Band endeavours to attain the highest standard of performance, and
to meet its objectives by the performance of public concerts, recordings,
broadcasts and competitions. The Band encourages young musicians
who have reached the required standard to further their dovelopment by
perfomiing with the Band, as well as carrying out workshop events for
local bands and juniorlyouth bands.
A "Community Band" was established in the summer of 2024 which
invites brass musicians of any standard to enjoy the Bands facilities
without any pressure to attain any particular level of playing, it rehearses
twice monthly and regularly has 20-30 players at every rehearsal and will
undertake its first public engagement in mid 2025.

performances of Wallace and Gromit.. the Wrong Trousers and three sold

The Band competed at three contests in 2024'_
The Northern Regional brass Band Championships, Durham
The British Open Grand Shield Contest, Blackpool
The Wainstones Cup Contest. Yarm School
A quintet from the Band performed at the Stanley Travel Conference at
Newcastle upon Tyne, and groups of Band members played Christmas
carols at the Alnwick Gardens on three occasions. to raise funds on
behalf of the Gardens.

All Band members are volunteers, including Committee Members and
Trustees, who freely give up their time to attend rehearsals and
engagements, sell concert tickets. prepare hampers as concert raffle
prizes, drive vans to transport equipment to concerts. clean and maintain
the bandroom. The Band also values and appreciates the role of non-
member volunteers in support of its activities. including assisting Band
members with front of house activities before and during concerts.

achievements of the charity
during the year
The Band is establishing a reputation for changing the public perception
of brass band concerts by means of imaginative and eclectic
programming, and the use of visual media. 2024 saw the Band perform
special themed concerts which received high acclaim and sold out
performance5 of"The Snowman" and "Wallace and Gromit.. the Wrong
Trousers"

future capital expenditure on instruments, building maintenance and
other assets to allow it to continue its charitable objectives

The Band is fully self supporting and acquires funds by means of monthly
subscriptions from Band members, performing public concerts, income
from selling merchandise and raffles at concerts, along with occasional
donations from local businesses.
Funds raised go towards upkeep of the bandroom (which is owned by the
Band), maintenance of Band instrumentslequipment, hiring of deps for
concerts when necessary, and conductor fees.
