to advance the education of the public in the art of brass band music-
making.,
to further the development of public appreciation in the said art by
the presentatson of public concerts, music festivals. and similar
activities.

The Band endeavours to attain the highest standard of performance, and
lo meet its objectives by the performance of public concerts, recordings,
broadcasts and competitions. The Band encourages young musiejans who
have reached the required standard to further their development by
performing with the Band, as well as carrying Out workshop events for
local bands and juniorlyouth bands.
A°Community Band" was established in the summer of 2024 which invites
brass musician5 of any standard to enjoy the Bands facilities without any
pressure lo attain any particular level of playing, it rehearses ￿lce monthly
and regulady has 20-30 players al every rehearsal and will undertake ils
irst public engagemenl in mid 2025.

he Band competed at three contests in 2024;.
The Northem Regional brass Band Championships, Durham
The British Open Grand Shield Contest, Blackpool
The Wainstones Cup Contest, Yann School
A quinlet from the Band performed at the Stanley Travel Conference at
Newcastle upon Tyne, and groups of Band members played Christmas
carols at the Alnwick Gardens on three occasions. to raise fijnds on behalf
of the Gardens.

All Band members are volunleers, including Committee Members and
Trustees, who freely give up their lime lo attend rehearsals and
engagements. sell concert tickets, prepare hampers as concert Taffle
prizes, drive vans lo transport equipment to concerts, clean and maintain
the bandroom. The Band also values and appreciates the role of non-
member volunteers in support of ils 8Ctivities. including assisting Band
members with front of house activlties befor6 and during Concerts.

The Band is fully self supporting and acquires funds by means of monthly
subscriptions from Band members, perfomiing public concerts, income
rom selling merchandise and raffles al concerts, along with occasional
donations from local businesse8.
Funds raised go towards upkeep of the bandroom (which is owned by the
Band), maintenance of 8and instrumenlslequipmenl, hiring of deps for
concerts when necessary, and conductor fees.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity {'the Trust.) for the year ended 3110312024.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the r8quirements of the Charities Act
2011 ("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5){b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
