'Be completely humble and gentle," be patient, bearing Mth one another in love.
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peaGe.'
Ephesians 4'.2-3
We thank God for guiding and blessing our whole church throughout the year. The
number of congregations increased rapidly in both Chinese and English services in
2022. Although we had different languages of Sunday Services weekly, we all aimed
to walk together in unity of MKCCC.
The English Department worked closely with the Children Department for arranging
the youths, Patience Class Sunday School. We also worked closely with the Chinese
Worship Department for organising and coordinaling joint Sunday services and joint
events. We arranged an English service on the first Sunday of every month, and
Crossway services from the second to the fifth Sundays of every month.
Crosswa
Crossway is a collaboration of MKCCC and the Calvary Chinese Christian Church
(CCCC)- A Sunday SeNice for our English-speaking brothers and sisters. In pooling
our resources and by God's grace, we aim to build a stronger worship ministry to
serve our community.

From January to May, we looked at the book of Exodus, following Moses,
story. The rationale was that the current demographic (mainly British Bom
Chinese) of the congregation might find Moses relatable due to his bi-cultural
upbringing.
16

From June to August, we looked at the book of Ezekiel, following the story of
the prophet Ezekiel as he called his fellow countrymen of Israel back to a
rightful relationship with God following their judgement through exile by the
Babylonians.
From September to December, we looked at the book of John, unpacking the
identities of Jesus. We came from multicultural or bi-cultural backgrounds,
many of us still struggled with our own identities, and could be suscepiible to
shaping our identities to please others and living lives that conform to the
pattern of the world. Crucially, by understanding the identity of Jesus, we
started to understand our own identities in relation to Him. Understanding who
Jesus is, is to understand who we are, the purpose of our lives, and how to
relate to others in the world.
3. Sunda
Services
We continued live streaming the Se￿iCe on Zoom until 27, March when
everyone returned to the physical Sunday service.

Leaders in the Cantonese stream: Natalie Yuen, Enoch Lau, Fiona Lau, Gary Chan.
Emily Sung, Yvonne Kwan, Yolanda Lee and Hiu Wing Tang
The 4=12 youths fellowship used to have a combination of English-speaking and
Cantonese-speaking youths in the same fellowship. We arranged English and
Cantonese Alpha Courses two to three tirnes a month for nourishing their spiritual
growth. It gave them opportunities to ask their own questions for deeper discussion
about their faith and belief. We also had theme talks and social events once or Iwice
a month.
17

The 4=12 fellowship started splitting into Cantonese and English streams separately
since 2nd September 2022. The split of the fellowship allowed the youths to learn
from the Bible and express themselves comfortably in their own language, but we
continued to arrange joint events for both streams to meet up occasionally. The
Cantonese stream had around 55 youths and the English stream had around 25
youths, who attended the fellowship regularly.
LlfeGrou
LifeGroup is an English adults fellowship. There are two fellowship groups, who meet
weekly on either Tuesday evening or Thursday evening at the home of the members.
LifeGroups scheduled three bible studies and one social a month in 2022.
Guys and girls social outreach events were arranged separately in March.
Bible study started a new series study on Jonah after studying the book of
James in May.
The fellowship started a new series on relationships in July.
Ajoint social movie night was arranged on 27th August.
Prayer and praise event was arranged on 3 December.
Community Service & Outreach Opportunities

Parents were invited to join the event with their children.

congregations were invited to join the event and fundraise for World Vision.
The event was aimed to raise awareness and help provide clean water to a
community in need.
Some youths and leaders attended the summer PHAT camp from 26 - 29
July.
Some youths and leaders attended and volunteered the Hope MK event on
22. October.
Some brothers and sisters signed up to volunteer and deliver Christmas
shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse) from 14th to
21st November. The event was also promoled in the Chinese services.
We thank God for all blessings and guidance in the English department and thank all
brothers and sisters. willingness to serve God in the Sunday services and
fellowships. May God continue to guide our church towards the unity IN Christ.
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all ifs many parts fom7 one body,
so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized byone Spirit so as to form one body-
whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit fo
drink.,

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
