Both Class had approximately 10-15 children attending. From 22nd March, parents were sent a weekly topic teaching message via whatsapplwechat group for home schooling the children on Sunday. After parent surveys, online Sunday School started from 9th May, every Saturday 11.'00 to 11'.45 (Joy class, Servant hood series) and 13'.30 to 14'.15 (Love class, Fruit of the Spirit) Online register was introduced to record attendance and absence. There are noticeably more new children from HK families joined the Sunday school from second half of 2020. 2020 Teachers and Helpers meeting was held online on 30th May 20:30 to 21'.30. Children & Youth Department prayer meeting was arranged on 20th Sep 2020 online after the Sunday Service. Mother's Da Rescheduled a week earlier lo 15-March 2020, Cecilia lead the children made 50 colourful paper flowers which were given out to all mothers at the end of servi￿. 10 Father's Da Cecilia ordered and distributed the crafts and created a very heart-warming video which was played at the end of service on 21 Jun 2020. VBS Vacation Bible School 'Deny your selfie" was the chosen theme and scheduled to happen on 30-May. The format was same as last year. Unfortunately event got can￿lled due to COVID. The session was later merged into Online Christmas celebration. Teeth Carin Da On Saturday 27th June. Nikki Choong gave ￿0 Zoom talks to LovelJoy classes. Quite a few Non-christian background children attended. The two sessions were well received by the children who thoroughly enjoyed the learning and activities. Children very enjoyed seeing each other and playing games together online. 2020 Online Christmas Celebrations An online Christmas Celebrations took pla￿ on Saturday, 19th December, lasted 90 minutes, around 28 children attended. Lead by Hoi Ying, Children were having lunch together in front of screens within different groups first, facilitated by group leaders. After worship time. an educational video was played and meaning of Christmas was discussed among the children. Session culminated by a Magic Show given by Kenneth Teh in the end. Famil Sunda Services Sunday School children joined in Family servI￿s on the following Sundays.. 15th March (Mother's Day} 21st June (Fatherfs Day, Online) 61h September (Sunday School Opening, Online) 26-Jan-2020 combined Servi￿ with Calvary Church, Sunday School lessons ran successfully at the URC side hall (chapel). Practise didn't take place during the pandemic. 11 MILTON KEYNES CHINESE CHRISTIAN CHURCH Youth Departrnental Report 2020 Crossway Service Action Committee Members: {10) Rev Henry Lu, Rev Pastor Law, James So, William Tsan8, Christine Ho, Samuel Wong, Laurence Mo, Ho-shun Chik, James Voong, Vivian Mah Lifegroup/Fellowship Leaders: {81 4:12 Fellowship Leaders: (9) James So, Ho-shun Chik, Esther Loke, Josh Shek, Vivian Mah, William Tsang and Timothy Leung, Angus Fok James So, Vivian Mah, Clara Tsang. Laurence Mo, Ho-Shun Chik, Christine Ho, Henry Lau. James Voong, Alex Tsui Descriptions: A collaboration of the Calvary Chinese Christian Church ICCCC) and the Milton Keynes Chinese Christian Church IMKCCC) a Sunday Sewice for our English-speaking church members. Descriptions: 3 Groups IA, B & C}. Two leaders for each group to prepare and lead the bible study. In order to gain the same benefits from the study materials, James So goes through the study materials with the leaders in advance. Descriptions: A Youth Ministry under Crossway Committee- Generation ministry by two MK Chinese Churches li.e. MKCCC and Calvary CCI Meet every Friday night. Attendance: Over 40 young working adults in the groups altogether. Group A & C meet weekly lone week bible study and one week sociall and Group B meet every fortnight. Attendance: Between 60-70 attendees, includes around IS youths from Colchester Chinese Church Between 22- 28 attendees and meet every Friday night 12 Successes and Challen es All the Services and Fellowships changed to online platform5 Izooml from 29, March 2020 due to the pandemic. Colche5ter Church Youth have also been attending the Cros5way online service. Meet up frequency for each group has not changed. The live delivery of Crossway services has been met with positive feedback, no major technical issues encountered. However, the Lifegroup online format took a while to adapt to at the beginning, but great effort has been made by the leaders to try and break the ice and make the meetups less awkward. The main struggles with hosting 4:12 online are holding the youths, attention as they can often disengage and do their own stuff. Unfortunately. the solutions are limited virtually. Although they still attend, the online nature of fellowship has made it harder for some of the quieter youths to engage. Some people from outside of Milton Keynes have joined. i.e. Coventry, and areas near Liverpool. Generally, the environment has been very welcoming. A few youths have stopped attending, but efforts have been made by the youth leaders to check in on them to make sure they don't feel forgotten. One of the benefits of doing online church is that it has given the opportunity for some people outside of Milton Keynes to attend. such as London. Wales, Derby, Coventry and Liverpool. One of the disadvantages of meeting online has been a loss of some fellowship bonding opportunities between members within each group. As everyone 15 all in one chat room, the smaller side conversations people used to have does not happen as easily. In order to solve this issue, a few Lifegroup social events have been held, this event was fun and well received by attendees. Overall, it helped members of each Lifegroup to bond together.
