The Charity is governed by the terms of a Declaration of Trust dated 30[th] May 1996.

Objectives

The Trust has 2 main objectives: To help young people in schools to better understand the Christian faith, and; To support young people and students in their development through one to one mentoring and the delivery of employability skills in accordance with Christian principles.

Activities and Achievements

The Trust has used four projects to achieve its objectives: Shepherds Crook Puppets, which uses puppets to tell Bible stories in Primary Schools; Schools Weeks, the provision of interactive sessions for primary schools exploring the meaning of Christmas and Easter; Engage Youth Mentoring!, which uses one to one mentoring of young people and students with low self-esteem and confidence to support them to be able live their lives to the full, and; Bridge Builders, which delivers employability workshops and mock job interviews to students. Work also continues to try to secure grants towards the cost of new and existing projects. The Charity’s activities were necessarily suspended for periods during the year in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions imposed by Government. The Trust is supported by around 120 volunteers.

ExamIne￿$ report to the trustees of Lichfield Chrlstlan Schools Work Trust I report to the trustees on my examination of Ihe accounts of the Lichfield Christian Schools Work Trust (the Trust) for the year ended 31" July 2021. Res nsibililies and basis of re As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charrties A¢t 2011 {'the Ad'l. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Acl and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charrty Commission under section 145{5)(b) of the Act. Inde ndent ex miner's st ement I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have come to my attention in connection wrth the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.. 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act,. or 2. the accounts do not accord with those re￿rds.
