Friends of Hanover (Hanover School Associaton) Trustees & Financial Report Year Ending 31[st] August 2025
AGM
This year was another very successful year of fundraising for the school. A combination of successful community and fundraising events and appeals, private donations, match funding, grants and regular direct debit and salary sacrifice donations has enabled us to contribute significantly both to specific projects within the school and more generally for extra-curricular/value add experiences for the children.
We were successful in gaining funding for the ongoing running of the garden classroom as a grant through Groundwork UK.
We took part in the Run Kids Run matched giving event this year to raise money for new AV equipment for the school hall.
We also made a specific fundraising appeal and cake sale for a new drum kit and other music equipment for the school. The fundraising target was quickly surpassed thanks to the generosity of the community.
We have received generous donations from a local Estate Agents, Hemmingfords, to support the year 5 residential trip and to help fund the Christmas Fair and enable it to be an inclusive event for all members of the community. Rose from Hemmingfords also ran a Tough Mudder with sponsorship money going towards funding the new Forest School which will start in September for Nursery and Reception years.
The direct debit appeal which was launched last year as been an ongoing success and we have increased regular donations via this route.
We were also very fortunate to receive a private donation to help fund the cost of the year 6 camping residential trip, and another to fund high-vi vests for the children for school trips, along with another significant donation through a workplace match funding scheme.
Our events have continued to be a success, both in bringing members of the community together, and in raising funds for the school.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters.
