Friends of Hanover (Hanover School Association) Trustees & Financial Report Year Ending 31[st] August 2024

AGM - 9.15am Tuesday 1[st] October 2024

This year has been our most successful to date in fundraising for the school. A combination of successful community and fundraising events, private donations, grants and match-funding initiatives has enabled us to contribute significantly both to specific projects within the school and more generally for extracurricular/value add experiences for the children.

We were successful in gaining match funding for our new garden classroom on the sports hall roof through the Aviva Community Fund. We were also awarded funding by the Tesco Community Grants towards this project. The garden was built by volunteers from the school community over several weekends during the school year.

We took part in the Run Kids Run matched giving event this year to raise money for a new nurture room within the school.

We also received the final instalment of a Grow Back Greener Grant we were awarded the previous year.

School staff members raised money in sponsorship for running an Ultramarathon in July.

Our events have continued to be a success, both in bringing members of the community together, and in raising funds for the school.

We launched a direct debit appeal to encourage those members of the community who can, to make regular monthly donations. This has been a great success. We hope to build on this in the coming year.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters.
