We are a group of volunteer parents/carers/grandparents who give our time to fundraise to help finance projects and items that the school budget does not allow for. Our fundraising events include refreshments at various school events, secondhand School Uniform Sales, Valentines Hampers, Great Lambing Sheepstake, School Discos, Bradstone Bonfire Night Fireworks and Christmas /Father's day/Mother's day Pocket Money Stalls. ## **Trustees** - Ben Baldwin - Annika Grizzell ## **Committee Member** - Gemma Allen - Chair - Ben Baldwin - Secretary - Annika Grizzell – Treasurer - Paul Sparks - Elysia Harrison ## **Bank** ## Natwest 32 Market Place, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 2NU 2 ## **Report of the Trustees** A successful year driven by our primary fundraiser Ashton Keynes Fireworks Display, where a dry night meant a successful event. Increased ticket sales and a bar and BBQ allowed funds to be made for the school. Other successful events included the school disco and a school event to celebrate the Kings Coronation. Lack of volunteers continue to hamper events and possibility when only a small fundraising team can stretch so far. The school supported funding for new AV equipment for the school hall and the annual library resources and sports week. Longer term fundraising targets are both KS1 and KS2 playground equipment. 3 ## **Independent Examiners report** I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Friends of Ashton Keynes School for the year ended 31[st] January 2024 which are set out on pages 5 to 7. ## **Responsibilities and basis of report** As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act'). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## **Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
