Financial Review

Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 Balance
positive
2022-2023.
Excess of nearly £9000 for a
number of reasons - 30hr childcare
funding, Flying start funding and
Tax Free. With the costs of running
the Cylch and living wage rising,
this is making a big impression on
the accounts.
There’s an increase in staf wages
due to the national living wage.
There has also been an increase in
spending including £12,000 on
windows and the outside area- but
this has been covered by grants.
Decided to maintain the fees as
they are because of the rises in
everything else.
Committee will be looking in to
sick pay and writing our own policy
regarding this by September. Bin
collections
also
added
to
expenditures.
Currently in a strong fnancial
position.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 Reserves held for maintaining the

Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 £7000

External Examination

I can confirm that all the relevant information provided to me is correct, there are bank statements and invoices confirming expenses and income. My only recommendation is to include retaining timesheets for inspection to confirm that hours work match with payroll.
