## CYLCH MEITHRIN MAENCLOCHOG 

## Trustee Financial Report 2020 – 2021 

Cylch Meithrin Maenclochog are members of Mudiad Meithrin, an organisation specialising in Welsh -medium early years provision.  The Cylch is managed by a committee of volunteers who have registered with Mudiad ~~meithrin M~~ eithrin and follow the Mudiad Meithrin guidelines. 

Our aim ~~s are i~~ s to give every young child the opportunity to learn and play through the medium of Welsh, every child is welcome within Cylch Meithrin Maenclochog whether they speak Welsh or not. We do our best to provide a happy, safe place for each child to explore their potential using equipment and toys which reflect their age and development needs, with the National Early Years Curriculum in Wales in mind.  We believe that play is 

~~fundimentalf~~ undamental to the physical, emotional, ~~liguisticl~~ inguistic ~~al,~~ social and intellectual development of children.  Cylch Meithrin ~~maenclochog~~ Maenclochog provides early years care and education to the highest qua ~~;l~~ ity for children from two years old to school age. 

Each child has an individual development plan for learning, play and social needs. 

Cylch Meithrin ~~maenclochog M~~ aenclochog is part funded by the Foundation Phase for three year old children and is therefore Estyn inspected. The ~~cylch C~~ ylch is also part of the National Healthy and Sustainable PreSchool Scheme. 

~~Tge T~~ he Cylch works within the Foundation Phase framework, which places great emphasis on children learning through play, there is a special emphasis on language development and the personal, social and emotional development of the children.  A variety of activities are offered to promote the development of the child and a work plan is followed to include: 

- Personal and Social Development, Well-Being and Cultural Diversity. 

- Language, Literacy and Communication skills. 

- Mathematical Development. 

- Knowledge and Understanding of the world. 

- Physical Development. 

- Creative Development 

The staff are qualified, dedicated and experienced so that each child receives appropriate care and attention.  A programme of continuous personal development is in place to ensure that they have all the ~~up to dateu~~ p-to-date knowledge and skills. 

They attend frequent training courses provided by the Foundation Phase, EarlyYears and Mudiad Meithrin. 

All staff have undertaken a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service). Staffing arrangements conform to the regulations of the CIW and staff ratios are adhered to on a daily basis.  1:4 child of 2 years and 1:8 child of 3 years

The Cylch is registered with the CIW for 15 children from 2 ~~y~~ ears to school age. 

## **Opening Times** 

The ~~cylch C~~ ylch is open Monday to Thursday during term times and excluding Bank Holidays from 9am until 1 pm Main session 9am – 11.30 a ~~tm at~~ a cost of £8.00 per session Clwb cino     11.30am – 12.45 at a cost of £5.00 per session Walk to school 12.45pm – 1pm (Children attending part time in Ysgol Maenclochog).

Our Purchases have included an outdoor classroom, shed and play equipment to refurbish our outdoor learning space. There was also the purchase of PPE and special cleaning supplies to deal with the return after Covid 19 and the continuing need to keep our children safe whenever a case is identified. 

At the end of this financial year we were given a Grant of £5000.00 to be used for specific training and ~~resoursesr~~ esources which is still ongoing.
