Principal activity

Who are we the Special Educational Needs Families Support Group Ltd (SEN-FSG) is an independent guidance and support network for disadvantaged and marginalised families, carers, and young people that are affected by the challenges of living with physical & learning disabilities combined with special educational needs. Over the last 30yrs the charity as made positive and successful difference working with clients at a grass roots level SEN-FSG was established by parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities. The charity is still run and managed by people that have a good practical understand of the issues that our clients are experiencing. We have built a strong network with service and people that we work with and share resources for the benefit of us all. Like my fellow trustees on our Board, I regularly and deliver visit services. �

We all see at first hand the extraordinary work done by the SEN-FSG and are always amazed and grateful for all they do, in increasingly difficult circumstances. team, & volunteers, generous donors. The charity trustees Report in June 2023 Special Educational Needs Families Support Group Board of Trustees agreed a new long-term strategy which aims to continue to in power isolated & disadvantage children -young people and family’s members to improve their futures. Through this plan our aim are to maximise packages of identified support for the most � “at risk children and young people “ we can offer appropriate person-centred services focus on early intervention with positive & accessible teaching programmes- guidance and interventions. �

We have a clear understanding experience of their responsibilities and govern the charity affairs with diligence. We have no frills approach and manage our financial also league requirements methodically in line with our policies and procedures that are reviewed annually. �

Special Educational Needs Families Support Group is unique we provide a one-stop source of long-term, in-depth advice, education and training programs, advocacy for our clients. �

As you may be aware these are challenging times, for families with disabled children and young adults with poverty increasing at alarming speed. Cuts in public spending together with one of the biggest shake ups to the welfare system in decades. The most vulnerable children and families are suffering; evictions, social excruciation also suicides are at an all time high. The people that we help require practical assistance with a wide range matter including applying for urgent help and appropriate intervention. The SENFSG �

Activity highlights 2022-2023�

SEN-SFG is unique in our provision of holistic practical support to people in crisis and time of uncertainty, making a difference and positive a contribution to changing the outcomes for vulnerable people. �

We are incredibly pleased to announce that Special Educational Needs Families Support Group has been awarded the Level 1 PQASSO Quality Mark. �

Also we have been nominated for the Queens award for voluntary service ( now named the Kinds award ) following of rigorous audit of every aspect of the charities operational delivery, whole team continued to be dedicated to provide a high quality service � Without donations from trusts and business the young people and families that we have help would have suffered tremendously the financial assistance that the charity requires to deliver crucial intervention is very much appreciated that is why every penny is used sparingly and appropriately: Thank you is a little word that is so small and do not cover our sincere gratitude that is heartfelt from us all at the SEN-FSG �

1 Statutory information

2 Compliance with accounting standards
