Cylch Meithrin Nant Dyrys is a welsh medium pre- nursery
provision based in Ynyswen.
SUMMARY OF THE
OBJECTIVIES OF THE The aim of the provision is to enhance the development and

play, education and care facilities.
To provide a safe and stimulating environment.
To encourage all children to develop and experience new
opportunities
To promote positive self -esteem and encourage confidence

The main purpose of the charity is to provide high quality
childcare and caring environment for children living in the
local community.

The service is also registered with ESTYN as an early years
provision providing funded placements for those eligible

solely on school capacity and intake.

in the environment that offer equal opportunities for all its
users.

parents/carers and other professionals within the sector.
To provide exciting and engaging activities following the
foundation phase curriculum.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS OF OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES (OPTIONAL INFORMATION)
## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**
Cylch Meithrin Nant Dyrys was successful in receiving a grant from Flying start prior to the end of the financial year. SUMMARY OF THE MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS We were able to enhance the outside provision with new OF THE CHARITY equipment and signage to promote outdoor learning. DURING THE YEAR: An outside hut was also built to promote outdoor learning in all weathers. We were also successful in receiving a small grant for ICT equipment.
We continue to be promoted as a well-established high standard provision, having received feedback from parental questionnaires, comments books and visitors accessing the nursery.
We adapted well to the pandemic, ensuring PPE was purchased and all regulations and guidelines were adhered to.
We introduced the 30hour childcare scheme within this year from the month of January to July, this has been a great success with children taking fulltime placements along with morning and afternoon placements.
We continue to achieve excellent feedback from our umbrella organisation and advisory teachers within the sector. Reports are available.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF
THE FINANCAL
RESERVES: Minimum wage increase.
Closure due to COVID 19 -loss of private fees and changes
to allocated Summer term funding.
No funding was available for training, uniforms etc,
therefore the charity funded this our-selves.
Resources and equipment were purchased this financial
year.
Early years funding was limited.
Maintenance work was maintained by the charity itself,
using what reserves it had.
The nursery operates term time only i.e 39 weeks. However,
if the demand is there for the 30hour childcare scheme, the
provision opens for 9 weeks of the holidays.
The intention of the reserves is to ensure employment
security and running costs of the provision.
