Objective of ROOTS

The objective of ROOTS (our school PTA) is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by: Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and the wider community for the public benefit and; Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

All parents and carers of children at Oak Tree Primary School become members of ROOTs automatically as well as the teachers and staff. ROOTS is overseen by a Committee whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting and is ruled by a Constitution which was adopted in 1995 and amended in 2015.

Summer Term

We also held a number of Bags2Schools collections which is an eco-friendly fundraising scheme which helps charities to raise funds through textile recycling whilst also spreading textile recycling awareness.

All fundraising activities are undertaken by ROOTS with the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit in mind.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended31 / 08 / 2023.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report
