The Constitution document for The Friends of St Mary's Herriard states that the affairs
of The Friends shall be vested in a Committee consisting of the following Officers (who
shall also be the Trustees)- Chaiman and other offi￿r$ as nominated by the PCC.
Activities and Objectives- the objects of The Friends shall be to maintain, repair,
restore, preserve, improve. beautify and reconstru¢t for the benefit of the public the fabric
of the Church of St Mary's Herriard, its monuments, fixtures, ffttings, fumiture. stained
glass. ornaments, bells and other chattels and it's churchyard.
In the year to De￿rnber 2023 donations had been sought for the re-ordering project.
Stage one of the building work would commence in 2024 (the addition of toilets.
kitchenette and storage Spa￿).
Achievements and perforniance - a total of £85.000 had been raised for the re-
ordering project. The PCC were kept up to date with progress on the project, and fliers
had been distributed in the Parish Magazine to update the village.
Financial Review- Income for the year totalled £89,488 including Covenants,
Donations towards the re-ordering project, bank interest, dividends and Gift Aid
reclaimed. Expenditure for the year totalled £6991 including £6798 spent on the re-
ordering project. bank charges, and stamp duties and charges. Leaving an overall
surplus of £82,497. The Alliance Trust Fund had performed Y￿11 - the 2836 share pri
increasing from £9.48 at the end of December 2022 to £11.12 at the end of December
2023.
