Accounts Review

The total income for this financial year is £28.085.34 Total spending £28.399.18 This year’s income has gone up from last year due to increase of Tithes and offerings Expenditure was more than the income due to the fact we paid off the Mortgage after there has been a donation of £5,000 paid straight off the Mortgage in January.

The accounts have been externally audited and verified by Mr Derek Redmond.

The trustees and leadership keep regular checks on updates for health and safety issues, insurance and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. As well as the maintenance of the building. All workers are DBS checked where required. There was no serious reportable incidents during the year.

Community outreach continues . #Toddlers Rock for 0-3 year olds continues to flourish and is still meeting the need for young mothers in the local area. We currently have 32 toddlers attending on a weekly basis, with a further 6 children on the waiting list.

We still hold Ignition (a men’s breakfast) every two to three months this is very well attended as is Inspiration (a ladies evening). A guest speaker is invited at each event and from these events. The aim of these events is to encourage people to come to Church in a friendly non-threatening atmosphere.

Cornerstone Café every Wednesday 10a.m to 11.30. It is open to everyone, and we are getting good numbers in.

Our Christmas and Easter outreach has included, Fun days, Puppet shows, Carol Service & Christingle

Our support for missionary and Community outreach continues.

We have started a Food Bank for those in need, at the moment we are serving around 10 families once a fortnight with 2 to 3 bags of groceries, packets & Fresh produce. We are expecting these numbers to go up as the need gets greater. Members of our Church donate food for the foodbank.

Support for Oasis of hope (formerly Columbia Childcare) founded by David Taylor, continues, providing education, healthcare and feeding program.

The Message Trust, who provide retraining to ex-offenders.

We have also given one off payments to Samaritans Purse shoe box appeal, The Children’s Society & Macmillan Coffee Morning
