wothing pract￿e5 are constantly being
reviewed and revised to incorporate the
latest research in Earty Years Leaming.
Child￿n a￿ pffjvided with Ihe opportunity to
pathcipate in a wide Rnge of activities such
as lo￿st school, leaming to ride a balance
bike, tennis and controlled nsk tsking.
Rartpsbury has a dedicated special needs
Co-ordinator who woths closely with those
chIld￿n nee(*ng adthtional language or
S￿la1 and emotional skills support.
Working in partnership with parents
We work in close partne￿hIp with parents in
relahon to ttsir childs development.
Technology is used to capture each child s
leaming joumey which parents can access
using Secu￿ I￿1n details. Parents receive
weekly newsletters keeping them updated on
the leaming taking pla￿ and 170W they can
support their child at home.
As part of our settling in pmcess we nin a
parents ind(Ktion evening to inform parents
of how we support children s de￿lOPment
and allow them to see fitst hand how we
rate as a Preschool.

Throughout fhe year we run parent
workshops focused on behaviour and
communication with the aim to support
pa￿ nts within the home using the
techniques and strategies employed within
P￿school.
Adding life and well-being to the
community
Being part of the wider community is very
important to us as a Preschool. We
constantly look for ways we can involve the
children with activities in the village. We
have fostered stnjng links with the aged
population of the village, specifically the
residents of Isles Court Whe￿ we regularty
go to sing or take samples of our baking.
We continue to monitor and manage forany
negative impact of our operations on the
community e.g. tTrffic, noise. en￿￿nment
etc
Offering a service that promotes equality
and diversity
We Ope￿te under a commitment to support
all families of differpnt backgrounds, means
and needs. The￿ is a hardship fund that
can be ac￿SSed by pa￿nIS for ext
CUnFGular aGtivities should they not be in a
position to fund it themselves.
The Pre-school is easily aC￿Ssible for all
pa￿￿t and childs needs and has provision
for wheelchair access.

Our 2022-2023 Strategic plan was split into 3
areas..

We have continued to provide
opportunities for children to take part in
experiences that they would not
necessanly have access lo at home. Our
key St￿tegiC initiative for this year is to
identify a piece of land for us to develop a
permanent Forest School locab'on on.

elderly residents within Isles Court
through initialives such as writing and

and performing and Easter Bonnet

In addition, we are seeking to 8Stablish 8
lending library of books foGused on early
years children that can be aC￿SSed by
the whole village and suffounds.
Ouring 2022123 we established a fijndraising
mmittee to support us In our fundraising
initiatives. All fundraising has gone towards
resources to be used within the Preschool
and also lo support us in establishing our
permanent forest school and outdoor
learning classroom.

At the end of the accounting peri¢xl
Pre-school was showing a profit of £40,397.
Approximately £10,982 of our profil relates to
fundraising 8Qtivities which are being held in
reserve to fund the new outdoor classroom.
In additson, £9,493 is being held in our
maintenance reserve lo manage the
building. This includes painting the exterior
of the building in 2024.
ilsl the profit shown is higher than
expected this is due to the fact We operated
for 75 % of the year understaffed. This has
now been rectified going into the financial
year 2023124.
We have also sought to release some of our
cash raserves to support funding the outdoor
classroom.
