9110/24 Please find enclosed: Charity Trustee's Annual Report. Charit 's name:_Deeside Community Hospital, League of Friends. 's number: 1055304 's Address: _ Deeside Community Hospital. Plough Lane, Aston, Deeside, CH5 IXS Flintshire Names of Trustee's :_ Chair Mrs June Nixon Vice Chair Mrs Jean Cooper Treasurer Mrs Irene Ireland Secretary Ms Jean Ranson Mrs Ann Hill Mrs Mary Smith Charit Charit Full details of all trustee's are available on the web site. As you can see we have had a change of vice-chair as Mrs Lynn Pike is now in a care home. As you know things have picked up slowly over Covid, the tea bar was closed, the hospital had been closed to both clinics and visitors. Our President Lord Barry Jones was impedimental in getting the tea bar re-opened after he wrote to the Chair of B.C.U.H.B. and this has proved very welcome both by members of staff, relatives and patients. We continue to have an on going recruitment drive as a few of our members have not returned after Covid.

Our aims and objectives remain the same for the League of Friends, that is to raise money for the Deeside Community Hospital and the community. During the last year we received in. Income: £30,098 Expenditure: £19,975. We are having more requests from the hospital for equipment and we are spending the funds. When the hospital is rLmning at it's maximum they are holding up to 42 clinics a week, saving a lot of patients travelling. Branwen ward has now become a regional Stroke unit 18 patients with all the necessary depts to go with it. i.e. physio, occupational therapy, speech therapy, neurologist etc. So we have one rehabilitation ward that caters for 44 patients. We have one hairdresser who works 3.5days a week, this service is invaluable and the patients look forward to their wash and set. We have give the care of the garden to the hospital as you had no body to continue looking after it. We do not have any funds held as a custodian trustee. Jean B Ranson Secretary League of Friends
