AVYFC has no property of its own. 

In 2022 AVYFC had two employees Sam J McKee the Director and a part time Office Manager.

Most days of the week AVYFC are based in the many secondary schools across the area. We use our expertise to deliver high quality specialist RE and philosophy lessons. We take assemblies every month following the school’s programme. Our Director is highly qualified with a strong academic background in science and theology and familiar with academic environments. 

Every week we run Socratic Society across several schools which is a philosophy club where students come to share their ideas, debate, discuss and dialogue with each other. We explore their ideas and allow freedom of expression in encouraging a safe and secure environment to talk about complex and important issues. 

Across the year we run larger events, including RE and philosophy days featuring notable academics coming to lecture and take questions from the students on aspects of the curriculum. We also run 3- and 5- day events exploring the big questions of life, purpose and meaning. We coordinate debates on important topics and facilitate roundtable discussions on differing perspectives to promote healthy dialogue and model positive disagreement. 

We also provide one –off conferences of special focus, bringing in outstanding speakers to invest in the town on key issues and topics of interest

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above

basis of report
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
("the Act").
I report in respect of my examlnallon of the Trust's accounts carrled out
under sectlon 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examlnation, I
