These<br>skills are channelled through our members in<br>fun training that is geared around the beach<br>lifeguarding culture to prepare everyone to be<br>ambassadors for beach safety and<br>awareness...regardless of age.<br>2) Competition - Because of our close links to<br>surf life saving there is a requirement for all<br>members to maintain, or develop, a level of<br>fitness throughphysical trainingto be safe in the|

## **Achievements and Performance**

||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|We have increased numbers in our young 5-7yr<br>feeder section, allowing for a better age/sex<br>balance as members progress through the Club<br>structure.<br>We have increased focus on training, both child<br>participants and adult helpers/coaches, leading<br>to a more structured approach to sessions and<br>greater benefit for participants.<br>Majority of our volunteers now have recognised<br>SLSGB coaching/safety qualifications.<br>Another cohort of Lifeguards has been<br>successfully trained, and several of our alumni<br>are now working for the RNLI.<br>We now have a strong presence at regional and<br>national competitions, and are active locally in<br>providing water safety at local/regional events.|
