## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Millbrook Village Hall Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 1054600)** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Millbrook Village Hall Charitable Trust (the Trust) for the year ended 31[st] March 2022, as set out on pages 1-2 showing a net surplus for the year of £1,576. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act: or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with my examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached

- Notes:- The Trust also owns various items of equipment. These items had previously been valued by the trustees at £17,646, and with the additional expenditure of £17,066 incurred during the year on the air sourced heat pump, this value has now increased to £34,712 

No restricted funds were received or held during the year, and the charity has no endowment funds. 

Due to an unfortunate combination of errors and mis-understandings, interest received, grant & donation income, and the balance on the Lloyds Savings account at 31[st] March 2021 had not been correctly stated in the accounts to 31[st] March 2021. The figures shown here for comparison purposes for the 2020/21 year have been adjusted to correct these inaccuracies. There was no loss of funds arising from these issues.
