## **Activities**

The church managed to continue its work of ministry during the year under review, but its outreach activities in our local communities were significantly curtailed due the pandemic and lockdown measures put in place by the government. With the in-person services suspended, the church was only able to continue holding meetings via the Zoom platform and livestreaming using our YouTube channel.

PAGE 1

The Church’s commitment to offer Christian Education continued during the lock down period, with in-house training programmes for ministry leaders, workers, volunteers, Sunday school and Youth activities delivered via the Zoom platform.

The church continues to lease out units 16B-C Graham Bell House, Roper Road, Canterbury. This facility was used sparingly during the lockdown months until we returned to the in-person services in August 2021.

Although our outreach initiatives were on a reduced in scale in comparison to previous years, the church continued to support and give donations to the Food bank and other charities to help meet needs of the less fortunate in our community.

The property at Anne Green Walk, Canterbury continues to be leased out to generate revenue income. The trustees consider the risks to the Charity to be covered sufficiently by the church insurance policy with Kingdom Bank Ltd, and the building's insurance policy on 9 Anne Green Walk.

## **Review of the Finances**

The statement of financial activities for the year under review are set out from page **3.**

The Charity’s income for 20/21 was £74,207k, and expenditure for the year was £81,368k. All the charity’s income was raised through voluntary donations from members and rental income from the Church property. The deficit of income over expenditure was in the amount of (£7,160), and this was due reduced voluntary donations received during our online services and no income receive from charity gift aid.

Our financial resources were used to meet the church’s obligations and to support various local, international partners and missionaries.

## **Volunteers**

Trustees are most grateful for the support received of our volunteers during the year, and their contribution made it possible for the church to offer pastoral to our members and the wider community.

## **Looking Forward to 2021/22**

With Covid-19 related restrictions now all lifted by the government and churches able hold in person services, the church will now embark on its rebuilding journey. The church will continue to work cooperatively with other ministries and churches in the city, in our mission to spread message of hope and the love Jesus Christ to our local community following on from 18 months of great difficulty.

## **Approved by the Trustees at a Church Council Meeting held on 29th June 2022**
