ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE (continued)
• Fundralslng activities and income generation
The charity raised funds primarily from the events listed above

FINANCIAL REVIEW
• Going concem
After making appropriate enquiries. the Trustees have a reasonable expeclation that the charity has adequate
resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concem basis can be found in the Accounting PoliGies.
Reserves policy
At the year end the charity has total reserves of £11.928 all of which is unrestricted free reserves.
The Trustees have examined the requiremerlt for free reserves. The Trustees do not consider it necessary to
quantify a minimum level of reserves held for working capital requirements. The Trustees will only make
charitable donations from available secured funds.
Principal risks and uncertainties
The Trustees have identified 2 main risks to the organisation. the continued recruilment of members and the
availability of a venue for the beer festival. Across the country, membership to Round Tables are in decline. 10
years ago. there were approximately 30,000 Tablers and now the National Association of Round Tables of Great
Britain indicate that there are approximately 3,000.
In Hartlepool. we currently have 8 Tablers and are actively seeking to mitigate against this risk by=
increased awareness of our roles and impact on Hartlepool
greater presence on social media
more partnerships with other charitable organisations locally
talking more about our achievements with the local media
actively holding recruitment events
Additionally, Hartlepool Borough Council have indicated that they are going to be closing the Borough Hall, the
venue for the beer festival, for renovations. We are uncertain if it will be open In time for us to have the beer
festival next year.
