To further these objeGtives by meetings and other actlvS1ies.

In carrylng out these activities the Board of Trustees have complled with the duty in gectlon 4 of the Charities

The charity did not receive any complaints in relation to fundraising duTing the year.
FINANCIAL REVIEW

After maklng approprfate enqulrles, the Trustees have a re8son8ble exp8Ctallon that the charlty has adequate
resources lo contlnue in operational exlstence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue lo adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concern basls can be found the Accountlng Pollcleg.
• Rgsgrvgs pollcy
At th8 year end the oharily has totsl reserves of £4.722 all of which is unrgslricled freg roserves.
The Trust8es have &xamined the requirement for free reserves. The Trustees do not consider it necessary lo
quantify a minimum level of reserv8s held for working capital requirements. The Trustees will only mak6
charitable donations from available secured funds.

Th8 Trustees have Identlfled the maln, and only, rlsk lo the organlsallon Is the contlnued recrultment of
membars. Across the country, membershlp to Round Tables are In decllne. 10 years ago, there were
approxlmately 30.000 Tablers and now Ihe National Asso¢lalion of Round Tables of Great Brltain Indlcate that
there are approxlmately 3,000.
In Hartlepool. we currently have 8 Tablers and are actively seeking to mitigate against this risk by-
increased awareness of our roles and impact on Haruepool

STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
• Constitutlon
Hartlepool Round Table Charitable Trust is a registered charity, number 1054004, and is constituted under a
Trust deed dated 20 April 1995.
The financial statements comply with the requirem6Trts of the goveming document and applicable accounting
standards. The charlty is managed by the twstees in accordance wllh the Trust Deed and in accordance with the
Nallonal Round Table Organisatlon's guidellne8. Trustees are elected annually 8t the Annual General Meetlng.

The management of the charlty 18 the responsibility of the Trustees who are elected and COwOPted under the
lorms of the Trust deed. Thls elecllon lakes place in April each year at the AGM.
• Organlsatlonal structuro and deGlslon-maklng pollcles
The Trustees of the charity are ultimatgly responsible for the organisalion's governance. Howev8r, d8cislons on
day to day issues and grants distribution are made at our monthly meetings by a majority vote of those present.
All members of the organisation are equal and thgir volg carries the same weight. In the 8venl of a tied vote, the
Chalrperson holds a further casting vole.
• Pollcles adopted for the Inductlon and tralnlng of Truslges
New membgrs are invited to visit several Round Table meetings prior lo making to the decision lo loln in order
that they may see how the organlsatlon functions. the roles and responsibilllles and the expectallons on being a
Tablgr. Once they have declded that they wish to become a member, they are formally inducted to the
organisalion which further $8ts out the responsibilities and expectations of Hartlepool Round Tabl8.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Ch8rllles SORP {FRS 102)
Accounting and Reporting by Ch8rilles.' Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing thelr accounts in accordance with the Financ181 Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and RepubliG of Ireland IFRS 102) leffeclive 1 January 20191. Ihe Financlal Reporting Standard
appllcable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102} and the Chari118s Act 2011.
