Section D Achievements and performance Our store continues to be successful in providing us with the **Summary of the main** opportunity to be sustainable and giving us a firm financial basis to **achievements of the charity** extend the services for our members. The significant number of **during the year** donations gives us the ability to provide low-cost materials for our educational arts and craft activities. This has only been possible because of the regular provision of quality donations which enables us to plan and extend our future aims. Careful monitoring shows that we can look at our charity providing more towards arts and crafts and children’s education and extending our reach as a charity. We completed 19 workshops over the year maintaining strong relationships with Shropshire Festivals, Telford Council, Community Resource, W.I., Madeley TC, Brownies, Flicks in the sticks and Church Stretton Town Council, all of whom are returning customers and contribute to support our finances. It was also possible to do free of charge workshops to support local fundraising events. We supported the fundraiser in Church Stretton for the Ronald McDonald House which supports children with life limiting illness and their families by providing home from home education. We also supported Church Stretton Town Council fun day raising money for new play equipment. We held a silent auction of a doll’s house to raise money for children with additional needs with a donation to Empathy for Special Children helping to ensure they have an equal opportunity for a fun and fulfilled childhood. Our partnership with the Strettons Art Forum/Church Stretton Business Network ensures close ties with the local community. Our relationship with home educated children continues through the Arts Council Art Award with 2 students completing their bronze awards. Our financial position has remained stable during the year, thanks to the hard work of our staff and volunteers and provides a base for an expansion of our activities, to enable us to concentrate on the use of recyclable and affordable materials in the promotion of educational creative arts and crafts. Scrappies is a much-loved store in the local community and beyond and we continue to support all local activities when asked. We continue to have great support from 18 volunteers who not only help us to maintain our service to our members but benefit personally from the work that they do. Our website and Facebook pages continue to generate increasing interest.
