Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Scrappies has emerged from the Covid years in a strong and stable position due to two main things, firstly the grants and furlough scheme and secondly the people who have used their lockdown time to organise their home space and contribute generously to Scrappies with donations of their craft items. This has enabled us to rebuild quickly and we are now on a more sustainable path.

Our workshop partners have started to reconnect, and we have begun to build up a portfolio of future workshops such as local library programmes, town community events and the Commonwealth baton relay as well as school workshops.

Our Arts Award programme was able to continue online, and we will now be able to connect with our students on the bronze and silver award schemes.

Our financial position has remained stable during the year and provides a base for an expansion of our activities, to enable us to concentrate on the use of recyclable materials in the promotion of educational creative arts and crafts.

Scrappies is a much-loved store in the local community and beyond and we continue to support all local activities when asked. We contribute to the local Arts Forum and the Chamber of Trade,

We continue to have great support from 18 volunteers who not only help us to maintain our service to our members but benefit personally from the work that they do.

Our website and Facebook pages continue to generate increasing interest.

We have given some time to succession planning and we will produce a new business plan for the charity.
